I have not made up a word. What people’s opinion of what a players value is,will differ to what a Clubs opinion is. That is the Clubs prerogative. It’s the handling of the situations(Aloiai and McIntyre) that is in question.
The process was bungled in both cases, putting my friendship aside, this annoys me as a fan

So, as a "friend", you told Aloiai you were going to divulge contract matters on this forum? And, is McIntyre your "friend" as well? How do you know how his contract matters were managed?

The timing seems just a little bit too "convenient" for me to take you seriously. As a fan (and member) I don't feel the outrage you do.

If he wants to chase the dollars elsewhere, then see you later Joshie boy.

If he can get extra money elsewhere, good luck to him, it’s his career. Putting a 24hr deadline on a player who’s been here 5 seasons is dumb. The Pom must post convenient stories too because he wasn’t glowing in his assumption of Managment yesterday either

Who's The Pom?? I could post stuff about management, positive or negative depending on my "agenda", but I'd be making it up!! So, I don't bother.

So, when you're chatting with your friend Josh today, I wonder what feedback he'll give you about "outing" his contract negotiations on a forum like this one? Dumbest move ever, I think.

And, you haven't told us how you "know" about the bungled handling of McIntyre's negotiations. Or, is he another fantasy friend?

Go to the McIntyre thread mate and have a read its all in there.

Now this is all over Facebook, as hoped I’m sure

Keep the info to yourself next time mate. Let josh and his management handle negotiations you don’t need to try help him. If he wants to talk about it publicly then he can do it himself.

Maybe @The_POM knows something about it and can enlighten us. The other day they seemed to think negotiations were going well and he was close to extending. That might’ve just been from the clubs side though

Dude, at this point Pom’s word is meaningless. Not because it’s bogus, but because things change on a dime. We need to stop relying on him for reassurance.

I agree I don’t take it as gospel like a lot of people do was just wondering if they’ve heard anything about it. Just have to wait and see where josh signs

Agree 100%.

Any negotiation that ended with McIntyre leaving was hugely successful. He offers zero in attack and is a liability in defence. Well done to the astute management of the club for offloading dead wood and creating an opportunity for someone with any talent or future.

The biggest problem is if we lose McIntyre and Aloia who is replacing them? If the club has two players as good or better lined up then you know what so be it. But if they don’t and we start scrambling for other teams rejects then massive questions need to be asked about how this club is being run.

Negotiations were with Josh’s management not with Josh. I smell a rat.

It doesn't matter. He has received WTs' offer and he takes or leaves it.

Yes but all the rest is pure hearsay, through his management.

It's provoked a reaction. Negs don't fit the playbook of managers. The time limit means the clubs can't be played off against one another like a real estate auction. That can't be a bad outcome.

I think this is what we are all missing about negotiating. They are business transactions and managers are not acting in the best interest of the club - they are playing them off each other. The club gets no favours from the managers ( unless it benefits them) and unfortunately the players when in the process become a commodity. They can't get all emotional about things if they put there business in the hands of managers who clubs can't trust.

I think josh is ok but with about the same playing ability as Zane tetevano.
But my biggest issue with josh is when he drops the ball. I don’t see all games but it’s always when we are building pressure or on the back of repelling pressure compounding the effect. Fixing this would raise his value imo. Definitely has his best games off the bench
How long did he have to think about the original offer he rejected. Surely before the 10% was countered he must of had some idea of what he would accept. I do think 24hrs is short but has this been drawn out longer prior to that so can’t see how everyone just jumps up and down with rage not being privy to both sides. If josh does move on I thank him for his service.
He can get bent and twisted about how things transpired but he can only control himself.
Players often say it is a business

So I'm assuming here the 24 hr deadline has passed and Josh has not signed and will be elsewhere in 2022...

Is that correct..?

That’s the story sounds like he’ll be somewhere else in 2022

So is he definitely leaving?

I’m not sure, but I seriously doubt he ever wants to pull our jersey on again. He’s still contracted for 2021

Well we’ll see if he is a squib or not, won’t we?
Club offered him a 10% pay rise and 24 hours to sign - wait - didn’t I read that they talked contract months ago?

Now you doubt he wants to wear our jersey?

Bye bye Josh (after your contract runs out)

The whole roster should be on notice, we have failed for so long now, we obviously need to change the system and looks like that is what is happening.

The players manager wants to try us as easy targets doesn’t seem to be working anymore. Thank heavens.

If the club did nothing sponsors and fans should be getting upset, just need to let Hartigan do his job.

Josh needs to realise one good season doesn’t make him a world class forward who should be getting huge money. A 10% upgrade from one good season seems pretty reasonable to me

Clearly Madge and hartigan aren’t going to pay players more than they’re worth and won’t even bother talking about it with the players, it’s a take it or leave it type deal.

His contract is modest, 10% is measly. And after November 1 he realised how much other clubs valued him

If other clubs wants to pay overs for him clearly tigers won’t stand in his way. They’ve been pretty set on not giving guys more then they’re worth

If Josh was that upset about it he should talk to the club about it I’m sure they didn’t mean to upset him, Madge is obviously a big fan of his but he’s had a lot of injury issues and only 1 good season can’t expect too much

Cool, so who’s replacing him and his 140m a game and 28 tackles?

Jimmy the Jet - 14 metres and 2 tackles.

I agree. When I saw The Poms post I was shocked. Because I knew this round of negotiations was far from a formality

I think this is becoming a major problem. The club seems to think it's just a formality that players will re sign for what they offered and not test the market. They then seem as though they are shocked when someone like Mac and now Josh up and leave. And still no word on Blore. We end up signing park footballers because we are as professional as a park football club.

3 posts across two different threads celebrating Mac taking up a contract elsewhere, you really don’t like him do you.....or your involved with the recruitment
