Am I alone

Baysarri is a very down-to-earth bloke. I had the chance to talk to him about the Tigers when I was helping out set-up the NRL corner during the Blacktown Festival eons ago. He loves the Tigers.

Yep. Not doubting the man at all, as I don't know him. Just commenting on his playing ability, as he was in an era when we didn't have much to cheer about.

That's true although he was on the end of a try that Balmain scored against Cronulla at Leichhardt in 1991 that had gone through about 14 sets of hands. It was referred to in our household as the best try ever for many a year.

Nice. Even in the darkest times we remember good things. We had Jack AND Brasher on the field that day. That's what I recall.

I thought the year Hoppa hit up to his antics and Field/McGuinness drug scandal was way worse. We were under Lamb and there seemed to be no light at the end of the tunnel.

2\. Turdesco is clever. I tried Mitcheel Moses and Ivan Clearout but it didn't seem to be appreciated.

Thanks! Nobody uses Turdesco so far, recently debuted, but "Broses" and "Pooper" did stick (no pun intended). I was also going for "Woodesco" when they were the last two negotiating, nobody took that one on.

I do like Mitcheel, I'll take that on from now on.

players come and go.
tough/frustrating situations are endured by team's supporters which makes success, when it eventuates, so much sweeter.

I'm just taking it one game at a time and hoping we can get as many wins as possible. Then next year we can get serious. Its a rough period but, this will probably set us up for the next 3-4 years.

To me it's just another drama filled year at the Tigers, just as last year the year before that etc.
Nothing will dampen my enthusiasm for our club.

in thinking that this year, thus far, is the most demoralizing / de-franchising for quite some years? And I go back to the days of Baysarri, Miranda, Mark lawson, Wayne Wigham…at least these guys knew their limitations and played accordingly..

It's probably the same every time we go through a change, on and off the field, but I don't know, this year just feels particularly "dark" - which means that light, will follow...eventually...

Sigh!!

You are not alone. As Wests Tigers supporters we are all united in experiencing the ups and downs of the club. Hang on for 2018 and you will see a big change.

Social media and crap reporters have just made this year seem worse. Previous 'scandals' were on the back page of the paper and that was it. Nowadays this stuff lingers and someone has of course taken a photo or received a txt or whatever. It just doesn't go away.

Wayne Miranda was a local legend when i was a kid. he did everything..(sporting wise and socially for the area) he was in the Balmain swim club, played Waterpolo for Balmain and first grade for the local rugby league side. heaps of my generation wanted to be just like him. and some of the local kids that were inspired by him ended up with a gold medals in the 2000 Olympics for water polo.

True. Foxtel have 2 and a half hours of live shows each night. Its a pity they fill it up with mostly crap and repeated crap at that.

Agreed that was out lowest ebb terrible coach and an even worse person(i knew him) he allowed complete rubbish with no accountability on and off the field(pun not intended).JT and AJ where awful coaches but Lamb was in a class of his own truly disgusting and he always had been even before he made first grade

Hopefully as a nickname nor a person.

No not alone and I am forever an optimist.
And being an old magpies supporter am kind of used to the "dark".
But one positive this year is the new coach and mix of players we are assembling for next year.
Now not saying that we will have a break through year next year. But signs are positive for improvement on lots of fronts.
But gee ….. you can't expect much this year.
Just arrange a nice overseas trip for next 14 weeks .... with no internet.

meh im sick of changes - getting used to losing now.. tigers games are usually the 2 hours of the week i look forward to but also 2 of the most upsetting hours of the week.
