He was outed as a plodder a long time ago.Only positive is Twal was finally outed as being the plodder he always has been. 3 or 4 younger forwards were better in the trials by miles.

Brooks shld be given one of those....I thought..maybe hoped..that Shensji wld intill some confidence and maybe some footy IQ into Brooks..but nup..nothingI would have thought more like a Suzuki Mighty Boy. A trabant has a boot.
Haha everyone needs God Happy, especially our mob!Just the God comment .....lol ...searching for the big man with your 1st post ...worries me
It depends what sort of expectations you had.
But Sunday afternoon at Leichhardt, heavy favourites. It was easy money on the Titans IMO.
I think opposition want to play there more than our playersDoesn't matter if it Wednesday or Monday morning or afternoon/evening. The only connexion between this field and the players is Nostalgia. Leichardt & Campbelltown are more like symbols of tradition much less reputation. I dont believe Wests Tigers - the players that is - are connected with the nuances with the blades of grass that encapsulate the field and are just as foreign to the ground as the away team is. Leichardt & Campbelltown are parodies of what was. The players as well as the fans are hanging onto the past. 3 games a year? How does that constitute home ground advantage apart from the fans such as you?
Hence next week at Leichardt is Wests Tigers 2nd last game there for this season. Correct me if I am wrong.
Wasn't a problem in 2005 10/11 when we had our last decent squad capable of playing finals footy. You are really clutching if you are looking at an oval to blame for players who can't do the fundamentals with a home ground 9- 3 penalty count advantage.I think opposition want to play there more than our players
I'm having a shocker of a week to be honest ??
But am I being too negative with my points raised in the Live Game thread
Maybe our defence in the main was slightly better than our average 2022 performance ...but what else was better than 2022
Chance for the fans that can see the positives of todays performance to maybe steal us from the Dark side
Yeah, when they work out the finalists it’s based on points not effort, flair or anything else. What does that actually mean though? We got beat. We got 0 competition points. Dolphins won and got 2 points against better competition. The players get paid to turn up next week and try and win again.
I still think that Brooks and Douehi need to link more often .....having 2 halves who are primarily runners create heaps more decisions for a defensive line ...especially close to the line when you have to make split second decisionsHaha everyone needs God Happy, especially our mob!Haha everyone needs God Happy, especially our mob!
You want positives? A lot of the team ran over 100m. Many of the forwards did, Stefano had 95m and Pole would have easily if he had played the minutes Kepaoa did.
The play makers have to take the blame here. They were given a platform but didn't create much or weren't able to build pressure.
You know she is a Roosters supporterHaha everyone needs God Happy, especially our mob!
Left or right footer mate ...lefties out of dummy half ....goldI would have thought more like a Suzuki Mighty Boy. A trabant has a boot.

So do better players.Speaking from experience
I moved clubs to play with my son
Club I moved from had old pokie sheds where as the other has spacious change rooms with decent showers
I didn’t think it was an issue before moving as I’m loyal and only went to run with my son but I can 100% say after a full season that better facilities make a difference
I honestly didn’t see much different between our performance in round 1 last year to round 1 this year. To think of how monumental the changes have been in Coaching, Roster and game style and yet it felt like the same old tigers turned up.I'm having a shocker of a week to be honest ??

I disagree we lost that game the moment Titans scored after their first set of possession. We played a completely different style. We passed and offloaded a lot, and changed direction a lot. Our forwards rolled up the field easier than last year. We dominated field position unlike last year. We didn't concede a lot of penalties unlike last year.
If you're really really upset with that game, I'd say you probably had unrealistic expectations. We won the spoon last year and have made 3 finals' in our 23 year history. It's not gonna click straight away, and that's if it does at all.
Imo nothing in today's game was disastrous or unexpected at this stage of our development.
However we still have a few players in key positions who aren't up to it and have way too many error prone players.
Early days
And this is coming from someone who was at the game, and was right in front of Laurie letting Mcintyre score. That's the kind of stuff that doesn't need to happen. The scores are much closer without that try, and the whole context of the game could have been different. We can't afford those errors. We win without them today. The other aspects of our game were good enough for round 1.
When WT fans all meet their end, if it does come to be that there is indeed a God, he ought to be begging our forgiveness.Haha everyone needs God Happy, especially our mob!
After yesterday I’d be thinking more of a Souths supporterYou know she is a Roosters supporter
You could see Doueihi was told to grubber to the in goal, but during half time that changed to “run the ball.”Yeah, when they work out the finalists it’s based on points not effort, flair or anything else.
I very thing we do must be a means to an end, not an end in itself.
Throw the ball around but score tries !!!! And kick goals.
That’s what counts.
