He's a douche bag.
Garbage player with a big ego.
Needs to keep his mouth shut.

Why? He's a pundit now and he is close to players at the club, and having played for the club he knows how things work here.

Just cause you don't like the bloke or thought he thieved a living in his two years here, doesn't make what he says any less true.

I think he's close to one player at the club in particular CB

I don't understand why he is asked the question , of course he will show bias against us every time

If your going to have a creditable sports show , be credible and act credible , Braith is the Tommy Raudonikis ,Jeff Thomson , Dean Jones of that show

Just says stuff for effect , every chance he gets he is going to knife us in the back

And then to top it off , they ask him questions about the Roosters coaching staff and how Robinson will go

Cmon please ….. don't insult my intelligence

He is the Under 20's coach of that club

Fox and the DT run hand in hand

Players talk, he's played there and would have a fairly good insight of how the place ran Happy.

I know the bloke is very unlike-able and I hated him for stealing a living with us but he probably has a better idea of what goes on at Wests than Matty Johns, Phil Rothfield or most of us.

Now, I have got a very far, fetched conspiracy theory that you guys won't like….....

Anasta might be telling the truth!! He probbaly still talks to some of the boys I have no doubt. The place has been dysfunctional and a shambles, why should he sugar coat that?

In 2015 he tipped us to make the Top 8 and was willing us to win most weeks. He was very critical of performances and I believe rightly so.

We deserve our whack, until we start winning games. Nothing he said surprised me or made me think he had it in for the club.

He was a dud player when Sheens swopped on him in 2013! Not his fault really no one else was willing to sign him as they knew he was finished as a player.

Agreed… Blind Freddy can see we are a basketcase on and off the field.

He would definitely know the internal factions at WT. Keep up the denial people!

To be fair, if he were ripped off by the club it's understandable that he has an axe to grind.

Speaking of Anasta..Roosterman has been very quite this off season…

Fully. He is paid for his opinion and in the case of the Tigers his opinion contains actual insight. He was only telling the truth.

What's your take on Gallen?

I only heard part of his interview. From what I understand he wasn't asked his opinion on the matter but gave it anyway. Whatever, it doesn't really matter either way and he is entitled to an opinion I guess. He isn't a pundit so it's not quite the same as Anasta whose job it is to give his opinion on these matters, especially when asked a direct question.

He can be both a prat and correct, of course.

Just another example of shocking decision making by the club. It was bad enough signing the useless lump in the first place, but doing so when it was obvious he wanted a post-game media career and then dogging his TPAs was unbelievably dumb.

Incidentally, it's interesting that Anasta never dishes on the Roosters. I wonder why?
a) There's literally no dirt at Easts.
b) Anasta has no inside info there because he outstayed his welcome and no-one talks to him any more.
c) He knows what side his bread is buttered and exactly how much doing the dirty on Uncle Nick will help his career.

Please select any two options from the above…

Didn't see/hear this 'dirt' he's apparently dished, but it's fair to say he'd know. Still hangs out with Farah a fair bit, and is good friends with some of the older fellas in the team (e.g. he was at Moltzen's wedding a few mths back).

And yeah - he's not going to dish on the Roosters given he's on their payroll….

I'm not sure what people were expecting from Anasta in his time here.

He clearly wasn't signed in his prime, and for that- you can't actually blame him for some decline in his ability.

But in his 1st season he was horribly miscast, playing 2nd Row for a aging 5/8… what was the thinking there? My memory fades, but wasn't he signed by Sheens before he got dumped, and became Potter's guy?

I thought his 2nd season was much better, but by then the average fan had it in for him & every error he made was instantly worse than any other players similar error.

He also played for the club during what I can only describe as the most chaotic period in recent history for this club.

And then got stiffed on money.

It's not like we gave him an ideal ride here.

He's just another media guy now, but he is far from the worst chucklehead on TV.

I'm sure he has some knowledge of how the club is going internally, but I suspect that the new board & coaching staff are less 'involved' with the players than some previous coaches, so all this talk from players about the knives being out for Taylor- that just comes from the player bubble.

And quite frankly, if the players are carrying on like that still, then maybe a good cleanout of the bigger culprits isn't the worst thing this club could ever go through..

Explain "pundit".

I use the term pundit in a loose sense, Anasta is hardly a sage in RL circles. But he is employed by the media to talk RL, so the definition fits him in a broad sense.

Agree with this. He was actually pretty good for the first half of 2014 until his injury, and was a calming influence on Brooks. No coincidence that Brooks best form came with Anasta alongside him IMO.

I think it's been taken out of context.

He said they were'nt happy with Taylor's tactics and structures, not JT himself.

Hooper backed it up saying that he is hearing that it's not a Robbie vs JT thing thats the issue heading into 2016, but the squad vs JT.

However apparently the players had a talk to the coach and expressed their views and opinions and JT has taken it on board; resulting in the loosening of the shackles this season.

The players have got what they wanted, now it's time to step up and prove themselves. No more excuses.

On Braith specifically, whilst he was an embarassment on the field with us, I don't see to much wrong with how he conducts himself with his media role. He gets paid to have an opinion and express it publicly and in all honesty most of his criticism has been close to the mark.
