tonight on fox sports line 10 oclock anasta said he was still owed money by the wests tigers and he said other players were also owed money could this be the reason we went so bad in the second round this year . also is this the reason we are getting rid of so many players for next season . anasta said he was dirty on the club for not paying what he was promised . it is not looking to good it is very disappointing what a mess :deadhorse: :bash

I think a few Forum members are owed a few apologies on this one

When a few of us brought up that players were owed monies we were howled down by the masses

I mentioned this a few times last year as i know a couple of his close mates. I mentioned it early in the pre season that Braith was owed money and was dirty on the club then. However he vowed to train hard and put show more professionalism then the club.

He was owed 100K third party agreement which was written into the original deal. He was promised this would be paid this season. It was for 2013\. He was also on a heavily back ended deal where he was owed 70% of his contract money in 2014.

I would say with confidence that the 100K third party agreement has still not come to fruition.

I reckon he has every right to call the club out. He made a big effort to train hard, help the young blokes and drive a better culture off the field last year. He deserves his money whether you like him or not.

Our club is a shambles. No players will want to join when rubbish like this rolls on.

Correct me if I'm wrong, third party sponsorship is
Seperate from club a clubs playing contract.

Can be included as a seperate part in contracts, but can't be initiated by a club.

So it's not the wests tigers that owe that third party money. It's the third party sponsor?

Is this correct?

If it's third party agreements that his owed then we wouldn't be the first club to have these issues and in actual fact technically should have nothing to do with us as these agreements are meant to be external to the club. Or am I being misled ?

I think that you have this spot on. Its not good if 3rd party agreements aren't being paid but its not us not paying our bills.

Anasta is lucky to get any pay for his efforts for us.

Phil that is correct which is why I think it would be actual the money owed by the Tigers he is talking about

If it is his TPA money he needs to kick his player managers butt sky high as technically the club can have nothing to do with it (but many do , don't worry about that )

I don't understand this. The club grant more than covers the salary cap. So all players should be paid what they are entitled to as per their agreements with the club. So we're either funnelling salary cap money funded by the NRL grant into other parts of the club, or total player payments outstrip salary cap value which isn't good news either.

I know Anasta had a contract and is entitled to what was agreed upon but he should be up for defrauding the club with the way he played while here.

If Anasta is owed money by the club, then the club must pay him out as per contractual agreement.TPAs are separate and his manager should be right on top of it per say….

As for Anasta not earning his pay, there were a lot more in the playing group who didn't put in half as much as him and put their hand out for the pay cheque,he was totally professional in my opinion and can hold his head high....

We're not talking about other players, we're talking about Anasta.

Personally I'm pig sick of Anasta telling us how professional he is. The guy is a certified leak, a moaner and has spent the last three years at least with one foot in the TV studio. If he's owed money by the club that's embarrassing, but what annoys me most is that we apparently still aren't shot of him.

That's very biased CB,we are talking about Anasta, however he is part of a club and team,if you say he was defrauding the club,he certainly had some mates….

Must have been watching two different players TT. We could have placed a brick out there on the pitch with a #6 painted on it and I wouldn't noticed the difference.

However much he is owed its more than he deserves. There were that many times where his stats read something similar to 3 runs, 10 metres, 1 tackle.

Sounds like Blair, Pettybourne, Teo…and others before them

Why do all these players bludge and underperform when they come to us?

Coincidence?

Whats the common denominator.
