I would rather have one strike player the three stogges we signed, think we are going nowere this year wait till next year. with all the talent we have coming up all the the brass needed to buy was a strike frontrower or secondrower and a top class 1/2 back. but what do we get a 32 year old has been and 2 nsw cup players to replace ellis.

The only reason I can think of to justify buying a bunch of also rans each season is that were paying so much of our salary cap to Benji,Farah,Galloway,Blair,Lawrence,Lote that we just cant afford to buy anything but reserve graders & has beens?
Maybe the business model wld make sense if all of these guys actually turned up & earnt their wage each & every week,but only one does!

I agree, I thought Bell was killing it at 13 - the streak started when he moved there and pretty much ended when he was moved out of the 13…

That's how I saw it too. Bell was much much better starting at lock than coming off the bench.

of the three signed (Anasta, Pettybourne and Thompson), I am very fond, and keen to see Pettybourne and Thompson in Wests Tigers colours next season. Pettybourne from what I've seen runs very hard and tackles hard, and gives his all, which I would love to see him do next year. Ive also seen quite a fair bit of Bodene Thompson, and I'm a big fan of him. He's an aggressive player with a fair bit of mongrel, which quite frankly, is needed for the Tigs. Thompson and Pettybourne will be in the starting 17 next season! Anasta is an unusual signing. Talking to a few of my mates who are hardcore Roosters fans, and they were happy to see him go, however, they also said he played his best footy when he played in the back row (2010, when they made the finals) - from memory, he was fairly solid in the lock/second row position and would hope he plays there, and not in the five-eighth position!!
