I'm gona get this one in for sure.

Bloody NSW players…

Nice try but as always wrong…

Canberra or the ACT is independant from NSW....

I thought that would be obvious to every one bar Queenslanders.... :unamused:

Just you remember where Canberra is when the Top 8 is finalised this year…

You're right Watto.

Geo, if I'm not mistaken he has worn a Blues jersey before, ergo he is a NSW player.

the SMH has named the player concerned and the players manager appears to suggest that it is real and 'very disappointing'. YIKES!

Apparently the Bulldog Players are outraged and have expressed they may forfiet thier games next year against Canberra if he is playing…

He has been named and shamed on a number of sites by now, It's Joel Monaghan and this makes the John Hopoate finger incident look minor in comparison.
In the case of Nate Myles I thought he was harshly dealt with as it was reported at the time that he had a major case of gastric which saw him have to leave the field in a SOO game to go to the toilet.
In the Raiders players case it will be blamed on alcohol, but fair dinkum no matter how pissed I've been I would never have resorted to anything like this.

What a nutter!…he should be rubbed out of the game...and go and work for a living like the rest of us!!!...Some of these dumb footballers just don't get it nor do they realise how privileged they are

Chris Lawrence is a much better option ...

Disgraced Canberra centre Joel Monaghan has expressed remorse and disgust after a photograph of him simulating a sex act with a dog was published on the internet.

Monaghan's NRL career was in tatters on Thursday night after the former Test centre admitted to being the man at the centre of an alcohol fuelled prank which went horribly wrong at the Raiders' Mad Monday end of season drinks last month.

The photograph had done the email rounds before being published on social networking site Twitter on Wednesday.

"Joel can't blame anyone but himself for an act of stupidity that will haunt him for the rest of his life," Monaghan's manager Jim Banaghan said in a statement.

"Joel wants to make it clear that he was the one playing a prank on an absent teammate by simulating the act.

"There are no words of explanation that can be offered because none can be appropriate.

"Joel has to now face his family as well as fans and supporters with that shame and has already undergone counselling to help him cope with the consequences of what has happened.

"It was a moment of abject stupidity brought about by too much drink and a complete lack of any thought process.

"The fact that someone has sought to compound the situation further by the use of social media only adds to the trauma, but Joel accepts that it is his actions alone that are at fault.

"He apologises unreservedly for the outrage that people feel at the moment and blames nobody but himself.

"He will meet the club over the issue and accepts that there must be ramifications but the fact is he is not in a fit emotional state to have those discussions at the moment.

"Joel is a genuinely good person who is simply shattered by a moment of sheer madness."

I'm all for someone loving their dogs, but thats taken it to another level.

I saw the photo yesterday arvo but thought it was a prank and a look-a-like so didn't say anything about it. Than I heard on TripleM today the stories and knew what they were talking about.

sickening
Those standing around watching and taking photo's should also be in a heap of trouble. Probably legal trouble.

seen the pic by accident

what? it randomly appeared in front of your face?

I'm in the same boat as wtffl2005, saw it by accident (got linked to it, didn't read the description before clicking the link), pretty disgusting stuff, I will forever regret clicking that link. However I was not 100% sold on the picture being real, just looked a little off.

Would I be correct in assuming beastiality is illegal in Australia? I assume he will be sacked by the Raiders, and I doubt any other club would want someone like that should the picture be real.

I heard rumors of this on calcutta night….and he was my first choice. The bloke has more issuse than just straight booze.
Who the hell does that? fair dinkum.
