Andrew Fafita

'Four feet Fifita'. He just keeps on going.

I was thrilled to see him added to the side. I thought Sheens would take months to blood him. He excelled in the NYC last year and just shows all the signs of a very very good modern day front rower. The question was always going to be how he made the step up. On a 33 degree day getting smashed on the score board he did well.

I have been saying all pre season that once he gets a crack at first grade he'll make it very hard for Sheens to drop him. I can't see why he wouldn't be on the bench again next week.

On a side note if Mullaney gets a run this year you need Fifita in there with him. They had a great combination in the under 20's with Fifitas barn storming runs or offloads leading to a Mullaney line break.

Oh and Sheens has chosen well out of the brothers. I much prefer Andrew and I think Jason is a better prospect then Allan Shirnack.

Well done four feet.

Agree with you, Tooth, loved seeing Fifita in first grade but am a bit worried about young Jake stepping up yet.

He's a gun player but still looks like a little boy - I'd hate to see him getting smashed.

in just 28 minutes he amassed some very impressive stats

14 tackles
7 runs for 66 metres
7 tackle breaks
1 line break

Our best forward was Galloway and his stats for comparison were
60 minutes
13 runs for 119 metres
5 offloads
1 tackle break
23 tackles

So if we halve Galloways stats to make a more accurate comparison
Per 30 mins
7 runs for 59 metres
12 tackles

So comparatively Fifita was probably even more effective a front rower than Galloway. Great stuff.

I thought Andrew Fifita was very good against the Roosters. Surely, he must have earned at least a start off the bench, particularly against the big Eels pack.

Love how you rip Big Red off by rounding DOWN on the tackle count, round DOWN on the meterage gain, and by rounding UP on his runs to suit yourself… :unamused:

umm, what are you on about CT??? … 23 divided by 2 is 11.5 so he rounded **UP**. :unamused:

those stats are a bit unreliable though considering fatigue sets in and stats like tackle count/metres gained would get lower the longer you're out there ... would say they're on par.
