Regardless of the opinions of Fifita's season in 2012, theres one thing that can't be denied- and thats no matter how good or bad he was, he was he was still head and shoulders above Matt Groat, the guy who Sheens saw as the future of the club over Fifita. Still early days of course but i believe Sheens chose a lemon

Didn't we re-sign Woods and Groat over Fifita and Gibbs? Maybe Sheens saw Woods as a brighter prospect than Fifita..he certainly wasn't wrong there IMO. I don't think it was ever spelt out that Groat was chosen over Fifita, we simply kept two and got rid of two.

Doesn't your last sentence contradict your first?

Sheens was quoted saying that couldn't keep all 3 (Woods, Groat, Fifita) No one disputes keeping Woods for obvious, but choosing Groat over Fifita was a bit mistake

What are you on about?, I really don't get your first question. Feel free to explain.
You were the one who made the statement that Sheens chose Groat specifically over Fifita.

As I said, there was never any direct evidence that we gave up Fifita just to keep Groat, we got rid of two and re-signed two that is all.
Groat hasn't even had a proper crack at 1st grade yet because of injury…give the kid a chance to play before you judge him.
As for Woods, I cannot recall anybody at all on here that was overly excited that we had re-signed him at the end of 2011, everyone was pissing and moaning that we had got rid of Bryce but Sheens made the right choice by keeping Woods at a time when nobody else really had the foresight to see how great of a player he was gonna be in such a short space of time

In your first sentence you are asking ''didn't we re-sign Woods and Groat over Fifita and Gibbs'' as if you are assuming thats the case. Then a few sentences later you do a complete 180 saying that you don't think it was ever spelt out that Groat was chosen over Fifita

It was public knowledge that WT could only sign two out of those four players and we made the decision to keep Woods and Groat. Sheens stated this many times.
What im saying is that WT didn't come out and say "we had the choice between Groat and Fifita and we made a decision between those two". It was just a case of two go, two stay. Simple
