Heard on Sky Sports Radio this morning that Andrew Fifita has been linked to the Bulldogs. No idea when that might be. In 2011? Anyone got any info on this? I sensed he was a bit out of sorts towards the end of the season. Hoping we might hang onto him though.

:astonished:

What does linked mean?

Wests Tigers have been linked to James Graham ….If Fifita has to move on to accomodate him so be it...

Doubt it seeing it was ….

Heard on Sky Sports Radio this morning

PT are you certain it was Andrew, not his bro mentioned?
Some goose on LU thought it was andrew, but also thought he heard he'd signed, clown doesnt know his arse from his earole I reckon

He is one of the leading junior props in the game and we're going to let him go?

They'd be stupid to do it … It can't be true?

Have always been a bit worried about this guy not fitting the Tigers culture. He seems to be his own man and more interested in fast tracking his game instead of being patient.Seems to do a lot of sulking too.Let him go i say and free up money for the big fish James Graham.

At present he would be on a minimum contract with some incentives so it would hardly free up much money for Graham. Next year when his contracts up his asking price will probably be a lot more especially if he continues to improve so it would be a issue than. My point why would you trade him off mid contract if he is on a minimum contract.

Its a delicate balancing act getting the right playing roster and I have confidence in the people making these calls

all this talk of fifita going doestn sound too promising. first it was the confusion with his brother. there is obvious truth to the rumour of andrew looking elsewhere with the amount of game time he was getting leading into the finals.

big loss if we lose him. this one will really come back to bite us.

Fifita needs to stay away from nightclub bouncers, the club has done extremely well to keep some of his after hours activites out of the papers.

I cant see a shrewd management team including two winning first grade coaches and a very successful leader in Mr Humphries making the wrong call on his guy.

If he appears to be a cancer to the squad or the overall success of the club - He will be cut and allowed to leave.

I hope this is all a "Silly Season" beat up. AF seems to have the physical attributes to be a successful prop.

My Solution is upgrade the $$$ a little early and get him to hang with the more Mature/Loyal guys in the club like Heighno.

I've heard this as well. I also heard the blinder he had against penrith this year was on the back of being seen out on the town parrying the night before the game at 3am…

It's David Fifita that has been linked with the Bulldogs, not Andrew.

My sources tell me David Fifita is moving on, but WT's are looking to secure Andrew Fifita on a long term contract, they'd be crazy if they didn't, Fifita showed this year that he can handle first grade and also showed how dangerous he is close to the line, fitness, still needs a bit of work, but I'm liking what I'm seeing of him ATM, considering how young he is, I can only see him becoming better.

P.S: Don't listen to sky sports radio

Tigers back office have "got it together"

I'm happy to see the debunking of this rumor as I watch mythbusters on my laptop

I keep saying that the team will be moving on Andrew and if not there would be a reason.

Well if the cubs sources say it's not true then well….What would Peter Peters and bulldog ritchie know...

Liken this clock and dagger stuff but.....What would be the reason Andrew wont be part of it spartan?

I thought David Fifita was going to the Dragons...I cant keep up....

And Moltzen on facebook is looking at houses in Canberra...Investment?

I wouldnt say Humpy Humphreys was a successful manager just yet..Hes still an L plater in that regard and learning the ropes. Was a reserve grade footballer and a reserve grade manager at present. His decision to give away a final home ground advantage cost us a G/F for Wests Tigers. We would have beaten the Roosters at Leichhardt. Then we would have had a weeks rest and been fresher which cost us against Saints.I am Cogger.

I disagree mate, He got us Lote, renegotiating the retention of youngsters, Sponsorship is up as well.

The man is a proven success in the corporate world and don't forget his father was one of the two guys credited with the idea of creating State Of Origin, thats pedigree.

So far he is delivering…

Humpty is learning nothing. If anything, he is man on a mission and will re-invent the Wests Tigers to being a Corporate Force in the sporting landscape within Australia. His decision to take the final to SFS is proof he knows what he is doing, and doesn't allow shallow minded football club board members with internal agendas to get in the way of driving our brand. (Never mind the fact the game was always going to be played there  )

As a CEO, he is up there in the top 4 in the NRL and could graft a long legacy in Rugby League which one day might supersede his fathers. With the Humphries name once again driving the Tigers, our future is looking STRONG…

Totally agree Watto.

As it was said in "The Power of One"

"FIRST WITH THE HEAD AND THEN WITH THE HEART"

Stephen Humphreys is a very astute business man who has proven himself in the corporate world…to boot he is a really nice person with excellent family and personal ethics and values....Humphreys in my opinion was the best signing of 2010 for the Wests Tigers...watch this club grow under his leadership!!!.
