'Galloway makes metres up the middle where and when it's needed'! Buddy have you been watching the games? He's looking for a bludge every set. See, this is why we struggle to work the ball up field in our own half, big blokes like him bludging and looking for the back rowers to work it up field. And his body height is appalling, precisely the reason he got head-slammed against Souths. Galloway plays 50 unproductive minutes, Fifita plays 20 minutes and makes the most out of it.

If you honestly believe the above r.e Galloway then you truly have no idea.

My main criticism of Galloway is that he sometimes takes a little longer than others to play the ball. This can slow us down at various times. However, when he gets a quick PTB we generally thrive off it and make quick, good metres.

But to say he's a bludger is ridiculous. Many a time he takes multiple hit ups in a set. FFS the guy made 140 metres on Sunday, exactly when was he bludging?

Fifita is, and will always be better than Galloway. As much as people put down Fifita on issues such as weight, fitness etc. the bloke has aggression and understands that a prop's job is to take the ball up and take it up well. Even Blind Freddie could have seen purely based on Sunday's performance that he's a better prop than Galloway.

the bloke cant last 10mins but is a better player….. i give up........

Both are integral to our structure but you can't compare their roles.

I'd have both any given day but if had to let one go it would be Fifita because Sauce plays more minutes and makes the metres up the middle where and when it's needed.

One of the more ridiculous claims I've read on here this year. Your hatred of Galloway really is pointless and unwarranted. Aside from the fact he averages more metres than Fifita and makes more tackles, he'll be the first prop chosen by Sheens each week.

Did you see Galloway's 15m charge to the line when Robbie scored…It was cetainly needed...Payten's charge and quick PTB was largely responsible for Fifta's try as well.....

Which of the last 5 games have we struggled to make it out of our own end...I'm curious cause we have made more metres than the other teams I'm sure....

Don't expect a reasonable response Geo, it's obvious to anyone with half a football brain that he has no idea what he's talking about. Merely trying to put the knife into one of the Tigers best players and integral part to their go forward.

I have no idea? What you and your admin board and moderators can't accept is somebody expressing an opinion different to yours, yes I know it's difficult to comprehend, but it's just my opinion. Galloway is not an integral part of our go foward, in fact we have none. The back rowers and outside backs and Fifita are the only sort of go foward we have and even then, doesn't match up to to go foward of the teams like St George, Manly, Titans or any of those teams in the top 8\. And please stop using Sunday to support your argument, we played against a team who couldn't give a crap and won't be playing in the finals. Oh yeah, and I recently discovered that you've become an administrator  I had to chuckle when I realised it's the same bloke who abused Fifita about his weight

If you've watched most games you would know galloway is a high contributor to our go forward along with fifita, heighington and ellis. Galloway, although not as skillful, fast or dominant as fifita, still helps the tigers get on the front foot basically every set he is involved in.

Fifita's 2 worst games this year was against Manly and the Titans. Both their forward packs made him look like an Under 20's player. Sheens actually hooked him in the Manly game as he was diabolicale…

Keep it up Cub, your sounding smarter with every post...

:wahoo:

Do you turn away from the telly when Galloway gets the ball? The guy hits the line and more often than not will carry two defenders a few metres before being finished off by a third. Our pack has struggled to give the halves room to move whenever he has been out injured this year. He gets injured during a game and still makes metres. The guy averages 13 carries for 105m a game.

Fifita wouldn't not have the same impact if he played the same minutes as Galloway. Like I said though, they have completely different roles in the team and you can't compare them.

But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of a good ol' fashioned bashing.

This is true… I dare to break the mould.

Call me a visionary

I really think Galloway's form has been considerably down on last year.

At this stage he would not make NSW.

At this stage i doubt he will ever play for NSW.

I had him in the NSW team primarily based on last year's performances at the beginning of the year, but since then haven't seen anything to suggest that Galloway will play NSW.

I think in 3 years both Fifita and Dwyer will play for NSW.

Maybe the older Galloway gets the better he will get?? Like other props Price, Petro etc.

At this stage he is on par to help carry his team to a grand final and quite possibly a premiership.

And he plays for Wests Tigers, I can guarantee you on that fact alone that he will never play for NSW.

The Tigers have good go forward and Galloway is an integral part of it, everyone else here can see it. Whether you believe it or not, the facts are that the Tigers have 3 forwards who average over 100 metres per game, Ellis, Heighno, and not surprisingly, Galloway. Gibbs is averaging 98\. That's good go forward from two props who play around 50 minutes and two backrowers who play 80 minutes. Fifita is averaging 78\. The Dragons have one forward averaging over 100 metres and that's Creagh who averages 102 metres, not even Weyman is averaging over 100\. Manly have 4 forwards in Whatmough, Kite, Perry and Rodney, although Rodney is out for the season and Perry is also injured at the moment. No surprise they are struggling at the moment with their go forward being impacted. The Titans are in a similar position to the Tigers but Luke Bailey is the only prop to average over 100 metres per game with Bird, Laffranchi and Minichello the other forwards, and they are all 80 minute backrowers.

I'm not using last Sunday as an example at all, the stats above for the season so far tell the story. And I didn't abuse Fifita about his weight either, don't try and insinuate that I did. The topic was raised as to why he wasn't playing first grade a few weeks ago, I mentioned he had a weight issue because he needs to watch what he eats as he can pile on weight quite quickly with his build, and not surprisingly Sheens came out a couple of weeks ago in the media and said he dropped Fifita because of his weight and skin folds not being good enough.

Willow, dont bother explaining yourself. Cub is always personal about a few of the younger players and doesnt like losing an arguement. You only have to look at the Politics thread to realise…

While its been funny as hell, and most on hear realise how important both Galloway and Fifita are to our team, its best to move on as he wont give in...

They are both very important to our team and we need them both to continue playing well.

What sort of $$$$ contract would Fifita be on, would not be too much I would imagine. Maybe time to look at bumping it up maybe ?

You mean extend his contract?

Certainly upgrade his contract by offering more money. I thought he had signed for a couple of years but maybe wrong.
