I have to add that in all fairness the forum has moved on to be a more inclusive, relaxed place to post.
The sky didn't fall.
It's just the ghosts of Christmas past that keep popping their heads up.

I think it's too early to make such a comparison.

All this seems like scapegoating to me, while the elephant is still in the room. What elephant? Disrespect. People getting banned for disrespectful things then coming straight back under a new handle.

I wouldn't have minded as much if it wasn't anonymous. It was vindictive in its length.
21 days was a conscious decision not automated.
The only two mods contributing that day in that thread was the two that were removed.

While the claim that that comment got him banned might not be totally untrue, it’s probably embellished. Willow himself called Brooks an imp not so long ago, so I doubt he banned anyone over one stand alone innocuous comment.

Impossible. Live game threads have no time for back and forth arguing. The game moves on.

I feel a big part of the problem with Wests Tigers Forum currently is...its just got stale.
The same Mods with the same out of date ideas from living in the past.
I'm personally happy that Willow is no longer with Us.
Imo he added nothing positive to Our discussions, his only strength being in banning people, including myself with no warning given and no mention of how long I was banned for, so I can only assume it was a 'permanent ban'.
@cochise has a lot of loyal followers and is certainly very passionate and energetic with his support and views re Tigers/Wests Tigers. I doubt there would be a more passionate supporter, and I feel with a new Team Leader in @mike he still 'may' have something to offer as a Mod.

I get your point that people should be encouraged to comment, (people shouldn't be discouraged from posting), but then you suggest that if people can't move on past (whatever this is), then they should move on away from the forum. Isn't that discouraging people from posting?

The bans or timeouts used to come with a warning or Pm from the moderator who took offence.
These bans now are anonymous and with no reason given.
Tells me that it's personal, not forum conduct.

I’m skeptical. More than likely, someone took exception to that comment, which began a back and forth, which then led to a ban. While the claim that that comment got him banned might not be totally untrue, it’s probably embellished. Willow himself called Brooks an imp not so long ago, so I doubt he banned anyone over one stand alone innocuous comment.

Impossible. Live game threads have no time for back and forth arguing. The game moves on.
You can check the live game thread from the 24th April 2021 when Manly clackered us 44-24.

I challenge Kul to prove this false. He would have the details at his disposal. I haven't been banned since it's the last ban I received.

I’ve looked into it.. you where banned originally for wishing brain cancer on a player.. you then returned and was banned as a previously banned member not because of anything in particular was posted..

That makes no sense.
My ban was lifted in 2019 for the Ryan Matterson comment after sitting nearly 18 months out.
Why am I getting banned in 2021as a previously banned member.

A change in forum software around then lifted all bans from 2019 … you where then re-banned when that was discovered..
