This is a sad day for the forum. I’ll show my cards by declaring I’m a good mate of @cochise . Hi is a passionate, dedicated mod who puts hours into helping maintain standards. @willow I don’t know but he does the same. The standards on this forum are due to our mods. It’s largely a pleasant place because of them. The way these two mods were treated including the lack of communication around the changes was unprofessional and poor. They both deserve better.
I, like many, have posted less and less over the past 6 months because of the drop in standards and increase in negative and personally abusive posting. I fear this will increase. Very sad I think.

I don't care about cochise losing his mod badge, in my opinion it was willow who was overstepping his role. I liked quite a few of his posts re footy though, agreed with him a fair bit.
Change will either be good or bad, we'll see.

What negativity? How does saying something negative about the team affect you? As I told you the other day, which you didn’t do. If you disagree, feel free to tell me why. Don’t get snarky. As for my negativity, I was over the moon with Papali’i. When the club does something good, I will be positive, when they don’t I won’t be. As for me having a mortgage, I’m not the one telling others what opinions are acceptable. You’re the one who attacked me for being negative. I never judged you for wanting to be positive. But it’s me who thinks I have a mortgage on what can and can’t be said ?

Let’s me honest about this. And I’m not judging the mods I wouldn’t want the job. Here’s an example of something that proves this is wrong:

A poster called out a poster by name twice in a post a called them a troll and said no one should engage with them. The mods quoted this post and left it up overnight until I asked why this was allowed.

I never suggested I wasn’t part of the problem. But I’m not dancing on the mods graves either. I respected the job those 2 did, and it made this place a whole lot better

I know there's some animosity between users and i think there should be some understanding.
