Griffin for mine with Dymock as his assistent. I reckon Dymock could really give our attack a shot in the arm, coupled with how Griffin was able to get Hunt playing. Brisbane's game plan revolved around second rowers hitting lines forcing the defence to make a decision. This is something we did terribly this year and could really bring along Sironen. This also opened up space for Hunt (Brooks) and would give Teddy the license to thrill out the back, who is an infinitely better player than Barba.

Director of football will be the experience. This board which has very limited football knowledge will need someone experienced that they can tap into. I might get bagged here but here are my top three. Tim Sheens, Steve folks and possibly Brian Smith.

Ivan Cleary had plenty experience before going to Panthers to work under Gus

What I still can't understand is how the new board will be able to make these calls with a 3 to 2 majority over the Wests group on who coaches the WT. If I was on the board representing Wests my first question before a vote would be, who's paying for the new coach.

I used to play for the Ipswich Jets in QLD Cup when I first met Anthony Griffin. He was the coach of the Redcliffe Dolphins and they were a great side. The players all had great wraps on him and when I met him after the game I wasn't let down. He is a great, down to earth bloke. He would make a brilliant coach for the Tigers IMO.

As has been pointed out already in this forum, Brown is not a rookie coach. He coached St.George for a couple of years.

My gut feeling Mayer picked the coach about two months ago and the plan was for him to take over on the Monday after the Dragons game, but all hell broke out and with the media in Potters corner they were forced to give Potter the rest of the season and at least been seen to be doing the right thing.

So I think they will go through the process, once again to be seen to be doing the right thing, but I think Mullet Man is a shoe in for the job. Lets hope my theory is way off track!!!Anyway their will be pages of theories and rumors over the next few weeks on the above subject

It's Wests and Balmain in WT, Merition doesn't figure in the same circle, he's only a sponsor. Wests throw in more than Meriton, get your facts right first. The point I was raising is they contribute towards the WT, offered Balmain assistance, got dragged into the mess and have to accept if it comes down to it, a NRL major vote on who coaches. What's stopping the Wests group from down grading their contribution because they don't agree with some of the decisions. I hope that helps you understand where I was coming from. How could you even think of asking Harry on who should be next coach is beyond me, at the end of the day his opinion counts just as much as yours.
