those on twitter pressure Mayer into an explanation on our recruitment or rather lack of it

2 things will happen with that. He will say it's JTs call or he just blocks you if you persist on asking things he doesn't want to answer

I still think there's a lot of smoke and mirrors at the moment,we are all falling for rumours and speculation, let's wait and see what happens once pre season is in full swing especially when our players come back from the four nations.
I did say in an earlier thread that JT is very smart and doesn't want to make mistakes as have previous coaches..he also knows who is coming off contract next year, mainly at the Roosters and there are some good players that will be available…
Remember JT said in an interview that our backrow and centres are the problem at the moment(lack there of)..I still think he has something up his sleeve and won't buy anyone we don't need....
Also JT wants to be successful now that he is back in the NRL coaching, and I think he is going to make full use of the situation,he has started reasonably well considering what he had in front of him when he came on board.....

Solid signing.
Nice bloke too.

Hopefully we haven't lost Sue though.
Dogs have a gun team each year

It's only a Rumor then ? those Turkey on the Kennel thought they signed Tedesco 6 Months ago.

Yea they are just guessing - the same guy who reckons its Sue also said that although we decided to not go with Takarangi we are still liable for some of his contract payment now that he has joined Parra. I'm guessing that's a load of rubbish but would be really concerned if it is the case.

So according to rumours we had signed Takaraingi and then let him go and are paying some of his cnotract, had signed FPN and McQueen, Sue to Dogs its all BS.

Sue isn't going anywhere, just re-signed for a few years. Masila we knew about and they can have him. Their NYC team was awful last year!

Sue won't be going anywhere

I was just mocking the WT's , with some of the decision making we have seen over the years nothing would surprise me anymore though

Hopefully we will see change

People keep saying we have no money left on the salary cap

I call BS

We were trying to resign Thompson and wanted to keep Austin

Austin would of gone on at let the league minimum of 80 k and Bodene would of been wanting at least 200 k a season

Tell me we couldn't pick up a centre or backrower with 280 k for the first season and then with a lot more from 2016 onwards ??

I have no doubt there has to be some Cap space for next year.
Can anyone correct me if I'm wrong?
Since we have lost a few players through retirement and change of Clubs is it possible and this is just an example? Let's say for arguments sake Sirronen signed a Contract with us for 3 years at $200,000 per year from 2015, could we say to Sirro if he agreed? for 2015 will give you $400,000 then 2016 and 2017 $100,000 each year, still equals the $600,000 in total. It allows us to have more money for the 2016 season and 2017\. Maybe JT has $300,000 to play with for 2015 but doesn't see any player in the Market worth spending that on? But if that practice could be used with the Sirro example I used and any other player that agreed to it? we could benefit with our Cap Space for 2016.
So my question is? Are we allowed to tweak a player's Contract if he agreed and we stay under our maximum Cap space for the year ?
