ANY solutions to this mess ?

Sack Taylor. Robbie to be captain coach for the next 2 years. Gets paid $300,000 for playing and $600,000 for coaching. Coaches payments aren't included in the cap. Robbie gets his money, and will finally get on with a coach ( himself). No $900,000+ on the cap. And no Taylor , with his loosing structures. Taylor's money goes to assistant coach Toovey

Please define " leave with dignity"

Many people on this forum are kicking the crap out of the current board. They also have a big whinge about lack of accountability.

The salary cap fiasco was the work of the previous administration. The current board are attempting to right the ship in regards to our salary cap and playing roster. They are making hard decisions with which some of us may not agree. However, that is called "being accountable"

If you want to sandbag someone then the previous administration are the ones that should be coping your wrath.

Let's see how things are in 12 months.

can i just ask a simple question….
is attempting to fix the cap issues and then implementing a strategy that will force the club to pay upwards ofr $750K a year for 2 years of that cap to someone who is not part of the roster a fix ?

i can tell you now thats not accountability.
thats actually stupidity.

No it's not. Do the math.

You would have shed a player, who is not going to be playing first grade next year. So instead of paying him 2 mil over those two years to play reserve grade, you would only be paying him say, 1 million. That my genius friend is a saving of 1 million is it not?

Col your figures are conjecture only. If you think that is a sound business decision than I'd say you know nothing about that world.
