Anyone due back after the bye?

Did not realise in the lead up to Friday we have the bye this round. That was quite a handy win.

Are any players due back from injury after the bye? Lawrence?

imo only Ayshord should pressure for a first grade spot.

We should take our time with Lawrence and try to get all his injuries soughted for good .

x 2 … simona deserves to keep his place. he played strongly against tait on friday night and can only get better. chris lawrence on the hand imo is on the slide big time.

I think we might start to have some selection problems hence creating competition for spots. That win and effort the other night was better than just the 2 points .Oh yeahhhh

Yeah it's a tough one. In my opinion Lawry will walk back into the team even if only on reputation. It's a tough one on Simona considering I thought he did a real good job on Friday night. Lawry though now has serious competition for his spot and will need to improve if he wants to keep it.

If koro is injured maybe try Lawrence on the wing?

I did think the same thing. It's worth a shot too. It simplifies his workload but how he goes under the high ball is a little unknown right now. Short term though it may well be worthwhile exploration.

I think if Lawrence is fit and I mean fit he would demand a spot in place of Simona who has been good but he isn't Lawrence form is temporary albeit not good for some time but class is permanent ,he will get back to some of his best its just a matter of when and that some is still better than Simona at this point.
Also his experience is key we don't have a lot of that at this point.

Last week was the first time this year I have seen our backline really function. It would be stupid to interfere with this backline now that it has found its feet. As much as I respect Lawrence and his efforts for the club over the years, I have to say that his current lapse of form due to his hip injury does not fill me with any confidence that he should be selected for the next match. For his and the club 's sake give him one match in State Cup on his return from injury and see how he goes before deciding whether he is ready to return to FG. This also applies to Ayshford.

I don't think Lawrence's loss of pace and lateral movement in defence is temporary - unless this returns he will never be the player he was.

i dont think we will see lawrence next game,he has had a broken bone in his foot all season before his hamstring problem
without knowing it, an oversight by the medical staff i think, explains why he wasnt running too well :unamused:

If true, that would make it hard to play footy.

If Lawrence is to be considered for Round 13 I believe he has to play this weekend in State Cup

well phyr3 i can tell you i know a few people that have had small bone fractures in there feet and been diagnosed as just bruising, until they got proper scans and revealed they did indeed have a small bone broken in there foot, theres alot of bones in your foot pal.

I had a broken bone in my wrist for a few years…non union fracture... it grew apart - spread - they had to bone graft it with part of my pellvis and some nuts & bolts

Unbelievable if true re rowdy

Sounds like Lote is going to be available. If koro is injured I'm guessing Lote will take his place .
