Apisai Koroisau #263

Has become one of my all time favorites for this club. Never gives up and puts his body on the line for the full 80 or however long the coach needs him to.
I know, but he always does this, plays hard for ten weeks doing everything. Then fade out because of it.
This is where u have to manage his game time, even if he doesn’t like it. Protect him against himself.
If we want to have a consistent good year, this has to happen.

Yeah that is the one area we could really use someone to soak 20 minutes up. Hope just hasn't quite been able to meet the standard.

Ankle tapped Moses 4mins left that potentially saved a try
Api's tackle efficiency was only a touch over 86% but in that he made 56 tackles with 4 missed and 5 ineffective.

Not too bad for an old bloke and that ankle tap probably saved the game for us, but to put things into perspective, Adel Hage mentioned that the ankle tap would have gone down as a missed tackle.

Pretty ironic that a missed tackle may have been the reason that we stayed in the game and were able to go on and eventually win it.

Just goes to show that stats don't always tell the full story.

I'll go as far as saying that this is the best start to a year Api's had playing for WT. even better than 2023 when he was doing it all on his own.

providing we continue on this trajectory, he'll be regarded as the greatest signing this club ever made.
