Arana Taumata

i think it will be

1 Taumata

6 Marshall
7 Moltzen

Gallant in reserves.

Taumata is much like a Jarryd Hayne style of player.

Moltzen will be no.1 . The Fonz has already mentioned this on a few occasions. The battle is for who will partner Benji at 7.

Arana Taumata
Born 15 April 1989 (1989-04-15) (age 20)
Height 184 cm (6 ft 0 in)
Weight 87 kg (13 st 10 lb)

will play in the halves … was bought by storm as a 5/8 to push inglis into the centres so he does go alright there .

If Taumata stays clean, he will be in the halves with Benji. Moltzen will be FB. If Taumata gets the sack, Lui will be in the halves.

I saw him on fox last week in QLD Cup.

Within 5 minutes he was penalised for descent. Apart from that he didn't do a great deal, for a so-called first grader in the halves, he didn't seem to get involved very much.

I think Lui has far more potential and I'd stick with him. I wouldn't mind seeing Taumata in the centres or fullback though.

1\. Moltzen
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui
9\. Farah
14\. Taumata

You get the impression that the coaching staff like Moltzen at full-back and Lui at half-back. Taumata fills the utility role that Morris and Hanbury have had this year. Gallant provides excellent depth.

Plenty of dynamic playmakers there as well in the case of injuries, something Wests haven't really had for the last few seasons.

I think there is a real chance he will fill the right centre slot to be honest. Than again he is quick enough to be on the wing and strong as well

He could be pretty lethal out in the centres. His speed and ball skills would make him a damaging centre in theory.

We'd have strike players all across the park.

1\. Moltzen
2\. Tuiaki
3\. Taumata
4\. Lawrence
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui
9\. Farah

That is lethal!

Has he been bought to replace morris and cover robbie?

1\. Gallant
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
9\. Farah

14\. Taumata

who knows?

thats the configuration i'd like to see myself, specialist fullback in gallant, benji wearing the 6, moltzen a natural in the halves and tomatoes on the bench for impact and versitility.

Moltzen has a long way to go with the no1 on his back, I see him more a no7 or the perfect no 14\. Anyway the good news its seem now we have some depth in the halves for a change

:righton:

I hope to God this is what the Fonz works towards in 2010\. Imagine a full off season with the players playing in these positions. We would be a top 4 prospect.

Despite what I posted above, that's what I want to see (even if it's not necessarily what I think we'll see).
