Are Fifita and Gibbs off to the Sharks?

so im a goose - big deal - fifita is gone - thats it. pm me if you want to know. mods run the show - as far as im concerned if they say its cool then its cool -

I agree with AHX ever since salary caps have been introduced clubs have had to let stars go Broncos letting Wally Lewis go in 91 Brett Hodgson for us . So if we match Cronullas offer to keep Fifita and Gibbs who do we lose then . BMM Woods Fulton and others . The club has taken the right option . Sport carries no sentiment to stars and one club players unfortunately . We need to get over it and get on with it .If you want to blame someone blame the NRL for salary cap . But if we don't have a salary cap the game WILL die . Take the emotion out of it everyone . I wish both guys the best of luck for the future

Humpty budgeted on a big increase in the cap for 2012,it looks like only a $100k increase,so we are over the cap by a fair stretch,but geez,Mckinnon,Payten,Gibbs,Fifita and Flanagan definately going,and Fulton,Heighno,Moors,Daniela,Brown,Shirnack x 2 who could go,plus Cayless and TNT retiring,we must have more than Blair signed for next year.

Heighno going???? Doubtful at best…there is way too much talent in nsw and qld rugby league...queensland needs 2 Brisbane teams.. And Sydney 2 more, with another team in nsw country maybe coffsharbour or port maquette

Well reading that it seems the Fifita deal is all about the money - i.e. he can all a squillion more at the Sharks and doesn't want to exercise his option for next year. I thought the option was in the club's favour but possibly not. If it IS in the club's favour, we're nuts to let him go - activate the clause and he can do what he wants in 2013\. A lot of things change in a year.

I agree we still have a good roster and a young but strong group of front rowers - Galloway, Woods, Schirnack, Groat and Begovich (who has been the only forward in our 20s getting over 100m every single week)

The league section in the Terrorgraph is nothing more than a gossip column because "Scoop" Rothfield is that unpopular with everyone in the league community (excepting the sharks, of course.)

Wouldn't take anything printed about WT in the Terrorgraph seriously at all.
