Are we a chance in 2022?

Making the 8's - is it being realistic, for 2022? I don't really see where we've stepped up, to be honest...Unless we do a 2005 - but back then we had a magician in our side..

It really depends on how the whole team goes particularly the spine if the spine can gel and work well together we just might make the 8 but if we do won’t get higher than 7th IMO otherwise I’m hoping we don’t get last

Our supposed leaders are Tamou and Brooks.
Disgraceful.

Hastings may impress and earn the (C) whilst AD is out, hopefully proving the habitual naysayers and negative nellies on here WRONG.

Hopefully 2023 will see AD to return to 6, clearly his best position where we need him first and foremost, to be successful...

Brooks? Gone. Where ever.
Liddle? Replaced by Api.

Ready to really make the finals.
2022, got players keeping other players seats warm and are unlikely to make finals.
If I am WRONG, I will buy @Tiger-Tragic 1 x happy meal.

Magpies the team to watch 2022.
Some break out stars in that team, looking to improve their skillsets waiting to take over from some of 2023.

I see us improving on 2021 with young players like Utoikamanu, Laurie and Blore continuing to get crucial first-grade experience, but no finals this year.

I see us somewhere around a 9th or 10th place finish, with our young squad hopefully continuing to build towards a big 2023.

Got pumped 38 shit by the spooners and added nobody of note. Tough year ahead.

I thought 2021 was one of our worst years in the past decade.
Some insipid, even despicable efforts put in by the majority of the squad.
Without recognised centres and halves it’ll be a tough road. Our pack is still at around “P” plater stage.
If Hastings, the Peach and Olie play well, it’ll lead in 2023 nicely.
At this stage though, you would be a brave man to expect finals in 2022.

Question: would Hastings, the peach and Ollie get a gig at a top 4 club? They aren’t gonna change our fortunes.

Not right now. But if they finish the year strongly, they will play important roles in a strong 2023 side. 2022 is a year to gain experience, work on combos and earn your spot.
Our campaign begins the year after.

Expecting as much input from our new assistant coaches with improved output as a result, as I am with that of the signings and player development.

Onwards and upwards.

Yes we are and yes we can , this will be a weird season with COVID playing a part I think , plus we just need to believe and have a real crack , Hastings to bark orders , Brooks to just play footy , positive mind set only and we get to the 8 , I can’t wait to the footy starts again

I think the key to our success really will be with the spine....
Liddle
Brooks
Hastings
Laurie
If they produce great running and control when under pressure, the rest will follow...
We have to remember that most winning consistent teams have a very well put together spine..
If they can be consistent week in week out then the forwards will be able to lay the platform, although we havent got world class players in all positions because of our youth, they will learn how to be competative and consistent if the spine do their job ....communication will be the great asset this year, especially with Laurie out the back and Jacko in the halves...
Lots to look forward to and hopefully the injured guys return to form quickly ....AND the injuries dont mount up this year...
