Are we missing Joel Reddy ??

Last season I said that losing Joel Reddy would be a bad thing

Just wonder what people's thoughts on this are now ??

I stick to what I said , we are missing him big time and if we let him go to sign Lulia we were nuts

Opinions ??

Yeah, it was a slight loss. Wouldnt mind having him now, but it wouldnt suddenly change everything either.

I liked Joel, thought he went fine with us.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing though, but given our track record in regards to injuries, you'd think they should start expecting the worse.

expect the worst where though?? this year it seems to be outside backs, last year it was props mostly.

last year was considerably worse than this (touch wood) though.

Was surprising he was let go considering we signed Lulia in his place, Reddy was always the better option and he could solidly cover centre, wing, fullback which would be handy at the moment.

No, a lackluster nothing player, we already have one of him in Keith Lulia

Yeah , just remind me Pacman which game did Reddy get MOTM and literally won a game off his own back ??

He is miles better than Lulia

I'd even take Lote back for the remainder of the season … We are "Busted" !

probably all over I guess, which would makes things hard to prepare for. Yeah last year was worse than this year, I guess that's an improvement.

Forget about Joel Reddy. Our State Cup is still running near the top of the competition despite the absence of Koro and Mr. T. Surely by now we should have tested some of our State Cup backs at first grade level. I have a feeling that with Nofa out for the season that it will belatedly occur this week.

You would think so ! But Potter will find more plodders from somewhere I reckon !

@hobbo2803 - WT, like all clubs, are limited in bringing up lower grade players by the second tier salary cap. I don't understand fully how it works, but it does limit clubs like it did for WT last year being able to use Brooks in NRL. Nofo is out for the season as you say but Simona may be fit and is the obvious replacement. I agree it would be handy to have J Reddy, but another former WT back Mitch Brown would be even better to call upon, both better than Keith Lulia has shown so far.

Potter was actually the main mover in bringing Lulia to Wests Tigers when the club could have bought a centre with more ability.

No we're not missing Reddy. We HAD able replacements.

We are missing KORO and MR T!!!

We'd be fine if we had them.

Reddy is an ever so slightly better player than Lulia. But is prob on more too.

Exactly, any lower grade back would be an upgrade on Lulia, but yeh I liked Reddy and he would be very handy now.

He was very solid for us. Slowly turned into one of my favoured players during the backend of last season.

I was filthy when we let him go for Lulia- wrong decision by potter, not just in hindsight but I thought that was the wrong decision at the time as well.
