Yeah I know Cochise, I also know that number has nothing to do with his position come game day. 😎Api isn't playing round 1
100%.I think it’s on purpose these players don’t need to be shown videos of them selfs on social media 24/7 giving them a huge unearned ego. Richo knows what he’s doing keep it all in house until we start winning.
Yep, all clubs looking for a new start like Broncos etc would be doing the same thing. Breaking them down and building them up.
Yes, it looked like they were focusing on team bonding. Great to see.I'm glad there's not much coverage of all this. You guys asking for it want the same old tired puff pieces talking top 8 and how we've really put in and there's a new energy?
There's still too much of that. I'm happy the club isn't trying to grab headlines now.
Also pleased the players look strained and uncomfortable. Prior offseasons have felt like all they do is drink coffee and go on fun trips and, more recently, watch benji throw flick passes.
Seems like the club at least managed this little activity well.
As long as that lesson taught isn't one of our players in the defensive line T, he will end up in reserve grade the next week.Yes, it looked like they were focusing on team bonding. Great to see.
Just my opinion, but every time Benji stands in for Api at training it robs the team of valuable “Api connection time.”
They also need to know what he does under fatigue, if that’s why he gets rested at training sessions.
The middles and pivots need to know what Api is thinking before he thinks it.
A Tibetan Monk taught me a valuable lesson, without going too in-depth..”the further back you stand the more you see.”
It would be a lesson for Benji, as suggested. As long as that lesson taught isn't one of our players in the defensive line T, he will end up in reserve grade the next week.
Poor bugger bet you he's feeling the heat, and I don't mean the weather. It would be a lesson for Benji, as suggested.
I don’t think so. He’s a pretty cool dude, probably very willing to resign when he thinks he’s not up to it. If that time ever comes. Doubt his success can be solely assessed by the number of wins. Thinking his main goal has to be developing some harmonic motion like Sheens did 04 & 05.Poor bugger bet you he's feeling the heat, and I don't mean the weather.
That second half of the season was dynamic don't know what was in the water that year but hope Benji can replicate it.I don’t think so. Samford is close to the Gallipoli barracks where they train cadets- pretty sure there's a reserve area for training there. And a Skirmish Paint Ball field next door, where I had my ass handed to me by.....a team of army cadets...back in the day.Richo said it was Samford, NW of Brisbane (in his SEN interview with Satts).
I don't think Madges training was the problem moreso his personality and relationship with some playersI liked Richo's comment on SEN in relation to last year. That they were in Wellington and went white water rafting together (for all the good it did).
I don't mind the players being pushed to the limit as long as it's actually going to make them concentrate and perform more over 80 minutes. Particularly late in matches. Having said that, their isn't always a direct link between how 'hard' a team trains and actual results on the game day. If there was, Madge Maguire would have won at least 5 premierships by now. Hope we're not a super fit team with 2 super fit players in the sin bin. Hope Galvin is getting more footy smarts as well as breaking sprint records.
Most of all, I hope Benji and the coaches find that sweet spot and no one blows a gasket.
Maybe it was the aggressive baboon look with bared teeth.I don't think Madges training was the problem moreso his personality and relationship with some players
Also that when you don't have the squad to think that you can have them running at 120% every session and every game is crazy. You need to find the balanceI don't think Madges training was the problem moreso his personality and relationship with some players
Close more of a scared head and teeth.
