Arthur Beetson has passed away

Very sad news and totally unexpected. I have never seen a better ball playing forward in the game and I don't think I ever will. RIP big Artie!
 
Totally gobsmacked when I heard this today. RIP Artie Beetson. Condolensces to family and friends.
 
RIP Artie you where the greatest player to ever wear a Tigers jersey imo.The memory of your performances on the field and your achievements off the field will never be forgotten.You gave so much to all supporters we have lost a true legend and we will never see another like you.

in his honour I do believe two thing should occur.

NRL have an award for Indigenous player of the year, be called Arthur Beetson player of the year.

State of Origin, have a new trophy called Arthur Beetson shield
 
Artie was a legend in many forms, a huge loss to our world, may he rest in peace with the other league legends, condolences to his family.
 
Arthur Beetson when in my youth was a player I looked up to for his skills on the Football field when he played for the Tigers in the 60's, he was a standout player amongst many other great players.
The Rugby League world has lost a great ambassador for the game…....R.I.P. Big Artie.
 
Was just reading how Suncorp stadium are erecting a permanent statue of Big Artie at the ground. This annoys the hell out of me because they should have done this when he was alive like the should have named the all stars/indigenous cup the arthur beetson cup when he was alive so he knew how everyone felt. I just feel it's a little bit late now.
