As a Tigers tragic, it hurts seeing this

Souths lost their #9 for 2016… I have no doubt Farah will add to their structure.

Whether that's enough to play Finals in 2017, we will have to wait and see.

Definitely Souths have been missing a Hooker, Issac Luke worked great for them. While Farah is a dominant player, if he plays from the bench occasionally and Cook gets a run at Dummy half, things should go well for them. They have a strong 9, a strong 7 probably a decent 5/8 hiding somewhere in their junior grades (or swap Ingles there) and an ok 1.

Sheens hired Anasta to basically be another ball playing option. Now that failed terribly as Anasta was well and truly done playing (I lived in Bulldogs territory, Anasta in his time was talent.). Farah isn't, he can score tries. He is captain material but Burgess, Sutton, Ingles will keep him in check and Reynolds has worked well with him at Origin.

I actually reckon that they should start grooming Farah for a rotation in the forwards/2nd row. Actually what we should have been doing when Taylor worked out that Farah did not fit our plans. Whatever you say about Farah, he would put his heart into it.

Lets face it, we brought Ballin and it hasn't worked well for us at all. Farah will go far better at Souths and I suspect will lift them back into the 8\. Yet they don't have that depth for the top 4 like in 2014.

If we can stop the Burgis from getting a roll on we should be able to stop whatever Farah has to offer

Farah will spend half the game looking at the refs with his hands in the air wanting penalties

Jesse / Ava your single role v Souths , iron out Farah legally

That'll be a first for our pack then. Were not renowned for ironing out any pack.
Il be satisfied if Ava and Jesse ( particularly Jesse) show some form at the same time. Jesse tends to disappear at times in games. Ok when he's on, but goes missing too much.

To be fair to Farah, he's pretty tough. It's going to take an illegal shot to level him out, and in no way do I advocate that.

If you watch the Charity Shield you'll see that the team functioned better after half time when Farah took to the bench.
Their pack dominated. Benny Elias could have made a guest appearance and won the game for Souths.
Forwards can make anyone look like a world beater when you have room.

The try that Cooke brilliantly set up also involved some luck or better described as not earned by the hard yards. Whereas the first half tries were hard yards tries that did not involve luck and are more effective in the long term of the game as they determine which team is stronger face to face. I can't remember exactly all the tries when Cook was dummy half but with first and second half maybe both earning 16 points each for Souths points wise the dummy halves appear to be a draw crudely speaking. Cook reminded me of Brooks running.

Robbie Farah Still Banning Triple M?

Triple M’s Brent Read from The Australian did an excellent job interviewing Souths playmaker Adam Reynolds after the Charity Shield win on Sunday, but Ready would’ve got a 10 out of 10 if he actually interviewed Triple M’s man of the match… Robbie Farah!

So what happened?

**“I said to Robbie, 'it’s a new year, any chance you’ll end the [Triple M] ban?' He said ‘you know, I hold a grudge’," Ready told Triple M. Listen to the full audio below.**

It is no secret that Robbie Farah and Gorden Tallis don't exactly see eye-to-eye after 2014’s ’Pottergate’.

The QLD Origin great aired allegations on Triple M, claiming Farah told him Mick Potter ‘can’t coach’.

"Robbie Farah told me to my face when I was on Triple M last year on a Saturday show, he told me that Mick Potter can't coach," Tallis said on Triple M in 2014.

If he is still holding grudges against every second person in the NRL, its time to grow up. Even if people have done the wrong thing, you have to move on, its such a negative thing to do and such a waste of emotional energy to hold a grudge. In a way it probably explains why things got so toxic, one or two people not willing to backdown and find some common ground.

Anyway as I have said many times, it doesn't matter what camp you sit in, Farah had to go i

Yep, when he played for us I forgave his character flaws because he was "our captain".

Now I read these things and I'm glad he's gone.
"You know I hold a grudge" - childish

Yep.

Someones going to come away with bragging rights, I hope it's us.

I actually am starting to hope he does have a blinder and we still best them.

I just want to beat the buggers, but as always, we can often tend to drop the ball a lot in the early rounds so if our completions against Souths are poor, their forwards will run over us.

Seems plenty applaud Teo on here for holding a grudge against Wiedler and the DT !
Instead of bagging Farah for holding a grudge maybe some of you should be heeding your own advice.

Telltails,
every second poster here has a bagful of grudges squirrelledaway, ranging from the previously mentioned DT, Danny Weilder, Buzz, anyone who has ever read the DT,, Referees, Referees 's Wives,
Gus, Ray Warren, The ch9 commentary team, Fox's commentary team. Sam Ayoub. And The manager of any player who is yet unsigned

Also Marty Taupau, and anyone one who has ever left the WTs, as well as Anyone whose considering leaving in the future. JT's Valet and car washer. Venus Williams for being scarier than our whole forward pack combined,
Inks Dog. Yes, he has one , he mentioned it just a few posts back. ( I think he's called RF.) , Pies, Tin Hats, Tim Sheens, Darius Boyd and Dad Wayne.( Actually, That one doesn't count as everyone has a grudge against Wayne)

We , here , are a cesspit of grudges, except for you amd I Telltails.
We bring a ray of Sunshine and Class and Fairness to this otherwise cultureless barren wasteland of grudges
It's an unappreciated job, but who else could do it??????
(Possibly Col.)

Robbie always went well when forwards doing the hard metres. They were just rolling St George up the middle.
They look like a good team regardless of Farah and I think Rd 1 might be tough.

Well said. Any hooker should go well behind that pack. I hope RF goes well, but that won't prove he was right or wrong. It won't prove JT was right or wrong. Both WT and RF will benefit for different reasons, so let's move on.

I hope he has a shocker in Rd 1, and then plays well the whole year.

So the Souths team that a lot here have been slagging off at every opportunity is now a good team, and "any hooker "would go well behind their pack.
Is this the team that finished behind us last year.
Seems like some are lining up some excuses in case Farah kills it this year.
Good to be prepared, just in case.

I don't think their pack looks that good on paper. I imagine it will be something like:

8\. T Burgess
9\. R Farah
10\. R Rochow
11\. J Sutton
12\. K Turner
13\. S Burgess

14\. D Cook
15\. G Burgess
16\. J Clark
17\. Z Musgrove

If it is then their second row won't often much penetration. Their starting props will be fine and Sam Burgess will reliably punch out big metres all game but their bench props look suspect (given the form of George Burgess last season). I think our pack offers better depth, we just lack a player with the line-breaking and offloading abilities of Sam Burgess.

With the Burgess brothers in the pack, it is just as well Farah takes 2 steps out of dummy half and hands the ball to them. They have feet for hands and if actually asked to catch the ball, they will drop it 50% of the time.
