And why should they have ???

It's great to know we have a chance of finishing 5th! Positions 5-12 are turning into a real dogfight.

If Gallant is out, our season is gone.

No hope.

Garbage

How so Ink? Bug has a point.

Molzten has been a revelation at 7\. Gallant being a specialist and the best fullback option at the club has proven his worth and value as a No.1 and a tremendous asset to the team in both facets of 'A' and 'D'.

Now, hypothetically; if Gallant is not fit for next week's clash and the coming weeks, Moltzen will be shifted back to Fullback, with yours truly J.Morris returning to the halves. Since being shift to the bench and playing his role as a utility, Wests attack and structure has improved by light years in regards to measurement from previous comparison. The Tigers have a solid and stable 1,6,7 & 9\. The key to any team's attributed success.

Is it just a coincidence that Wests have not dropped a game since the stubborn mentality was dropped and the promotion of a specialist No.1 and a tradesmen pivot were made and subsequently, the fortune of the team has done a complete 360? It's not just luck. It's key specialists, in key positions. The formula is right and the results speak for themselves.

To pull apart the dynamics by bringing in the old makeshift mentality will cause massive problems. The attack will become hesitant and pedestrian in segments if not for the entire game. Wests can't risk that to happen. Not at this stage of the season, and the do or die position the Tigers are in.

Morris in the Halves, Molzten, the current and best halfback option at Fullback…..Good night Irene Wests Tigers

Well we should've….had you listened to some of our "supporters".

im with ink …. as long as the 6,7,9,14 stay the same and a fullback is selected i cant see why were gone ....the possible change quoted by sheensie will be lawrence moved to fullback ,and his defence has been great .....his chiming into the backline would be awesome imo ....

Yes, I remember those messages on the old forum having us ruled out of the comp at the end of June. We are no certainties now but at least we are still in the fight!

do not going to get too far ahead of ourselves.
still have to play the game and beat the sharks, who are playing on mon night and hopefully be tired like wests-tigers were today.
am excited, yet cautious.

We are in trouble if Moltz is moved to fullback, but in with a good chance with Lawrence there..
Moltz need to stay where he is..

Apart from being rubbish it is not going to happen. Lawrence to full-back next week; and the weeks after if need be..

I love the Shannon Gallant is the only thing between us and oblivion fan club.

Fan club? I rate the kid and believe he is the best fullback option at the club. Just an opinion. Lawrence at fullback is gamble. Yes, he's big, strong, fast, but unproved at the back in First Grade. He is a class act as a Centre. I sincerely hope, if selected at Fullback, he carves up. However, I have next to no confidence in Collis, and i hold grave fears the defensive capabilities of the Tigers right hand unit. Something that has been as a secure and strong point with Ayshford playing at right Centre. Time will tell I guess….

And a week later with a loss too Parramatta we could be about 10th. 5th to 12th are seperated by 2 points.

It came from the coaching staff pulling their heads out of their bums, swallowing some pride and playing the correct players in their correct positions.

Close enough if good enough. Attitude just needs to keep turning up.

On the Gallant debate. It is rubbish. If a fullback or Lawrence for that matter replaces Gallant there is no reason why it can't continue. Gallant has been good and has allowed Moltzen to play in the halves. To say we are no hope if he doesn't return is just rubbish.

It will make team selections for the Sharks match interesting. I'd like to see Moltzen stay at 7\. He's been going well there and Morris has been doing his job off the bench. If Moltzen stays at 7, who becomes the fullback? Do we keep Collis in the centres and shift Lawrence back there? Or do we promote Hanbury and put him him at fullback?

If Moltzen goes back to 1, then I reckon Sheens should give Lui a go. He has defensive issues, but his attacking game is excellent and with his passing game, he could really give our centres some good ball. And if he's going to make his debut, it might as well be against a struggling side like Cronulla. He's got a clever kicking game too.
