Assistant Coaches

Flanagan is now available with Griffin bringing in his own coaching team at the Dragons. Might be a good pick up for a year or so as a very experienced assistant to Madge

Madge wouldn’t have that, Flanagan is poison as an Assistant to the Head Coach, a snake in the long grass ready to pounce when he’s able.
Madge wants a future Himself, not setting up someone else for success.

Yes I agree that Flanagan is totally the wrong answer for someone like Madge .... and for anyone else for that matter.
But agree that we need a good specialist to assist to get our defence right.
Also Benji for mentoring the younger players is a win win for both him and the club.

You wouldn't let Flanagan anywhere near the Club, would be like buying a Fox (Not JAC) to look after the hen house. Putting him near all our youngsters would be the ultimate dumb move.

Would not have Marshall to advise the youngsters either as he nothing to offer. He was an "Off the Cuff" player, you cannot teach that, he was also not a game manager, could not defend etc. How is he going to teach them anything.

You need one of the Johns boys, Daley etc. not an "Off the Cuff player."

Benji would be ok to have around in media / marketing and that's about it.

Completely agree with all of what you say there

Problem if you hire Flanagan is Madge will have one eye focused behind his back

I doubt Flanagan is being looked at by the club anyway.

One would certainly hope not.

If you have seen Benji breakdown plays he is actually pretty good, I actually think he could offer quite a bit.

Bad luck he doesn't do it on the field.

He could break down the play by actually tackling somebody.

What page would the breakdown of kicking on the second tackle with the season on the line be ?

Its on every page thickly underlined

Steve Georgalis would make a good assistant coach whole hearted Magpie player and Madge wouldn't have to worry about getting knived in the back

Whole hearted Wests tigers player

The Tigers are a major piece of the puzzle with Maguire set to further his decision-making following a Tigers board meeting this week.

Hodgson has been offered – but is yet to accept – a junior pathways coaching role rather than his current NRL assistant position.

Fellow Tigers assistant Shane Millard will remain on as one of Maguire’s support staff with Webster departing for the Panthers.

Dean Young is supposedly going to the Cowboys

Very smart decisions. Webster needed to go and Hodgson will be a lot better doing juniors than as assistant.

Warriors have let go of Stacey Jones. He'd be a great addition as a halves coach and an assistant coach if he wants to move to Sydney.

Nikorima, Green and CHT have played very well under him.

Tim Sheena resigned as Widnes Vikings coach. Maybe he should come back to WT as an assistant 😂 just joking lol

Would be great to see Tim back at the club in some capacity, even if it is a desk job.
