What are Dean Young’s credentials.?

Hes Craig Youngs son, that's his claim to fame.

His claim to fame / actions should be he got us a GF in 2010 ...kneeing Lote in the back from memory

It was Jeremy Smith ..so you need to get that memory checked..but yeah

No it wasn't ...it was Young ...check it out ....

After fifty minutes, it was 12–12 and for the next twenty minutes, the game developed into a tense battle for field position. The circuit breaker came in the seventy first minute of the match. The star Tigers winger, Lote Tuqiri, was kneed in the back by Dragon’s player, Jeremy Smith.

need a Coach's coach, a coaching director to help bridge the gap between head office and football personnel

no point hiring good, young coaches if we are not going to give them good mentorship.

Like the premiership winning coach in charge ?

Awesome, that’s where the value is in Benji - highly respected by all the kids coming through but his body won’t hold up another season in my opinion - we need that space freed up in the salary cap.

no he's the Headcoach of the NRL team. His main job is to coach the team, be in charge of the first grade team. You can't expect him to mentor 30 players AND coaches, look at pathways, see how we are going from U16s up etc, you need someone else for that job.

That would undermine Maguire. We should have someone in charge of pathways and junior development whom reports to Hartigan.

Exactly, I think we have an excellent guy in the role.

Um ..... yea I can. Cause that’s his job . He introduces the strategies and system he wants , and the support staff , coaches , development officers , recruitment managers , football department implement it. Hence the title “HEAD COACH” as in numero uno . The buck stops with him .

Flanagan is now available with Griffin bringing in his own coaching team at the Dragons. Might be a good pick up for a year or so as a very experienced assistant to Madge

I would take him and put him in charge of defence. That’s what he built the Sharks success around. As for his past, everyone has skeletons in the cupboard, leave them there and move on. If there was a marquee player on the market with some not so good things in his past, we would be saying..it’s in the past, sign him

We should be augmenting our coaching staff. Our niche is the identification, recruitment and now retention of the best young prospects. Our young talent needs to be exposed to the very best coaching we can provide. The benchmark is the Storm, Panthers and Roosters. Match what they have and results will come.
