I admire your faith in youth but no one in their right mind would pick him in the centre’s over Leilua.

I think he’s got the makings of a good centre but will have to bide his time until he’s ready. I wish we had a reserves comp.

Not fair to judge him, however comparing him to when Hoffman debuted. Hoffman looked far more comfortable, and he’s 2 years younger.

He was starved of space

I don't think we got a chance to see either hoffman or kepoa in free space at all

Geez, tough crowd for a debutante who had a go and dropped a couple of balls. Despite his errors, his performance was great compared to that of the most experienced player on the field.

It’s still a bit surreal seeing BJ in our colours. It’s funny how some players the club will sign, and it just feels weird. Anasta was a great example of that as well. It feels like Joey is a mercenary. He’s not the most likeable bloke. Called himself the best centre in the game at the start of the season. How’s that working out?

Absolutely. He will learn and he is a hugely talented right centre with good pace, strength, ball skills and will no doubt take time to adjust, Manu took time to adjust to the defence required in the NRL.

He was nervous last night and it showed but I’m confident he’ll come on leaps and bounds - he has the physique and was looking to get involved.

If we had CT out there tonight the Novacastrians probs would have reached 50

This kid is no where near Thompson ....if we are releasing CT we need to be upgrading no equals or in my opinion worse

Who cares it is his debut ...look at Brooks debut .....Blores debut

Can people not continue making ridiculous excuses for this club

Agree and since when has the NRL been a place to learn? It’s supposed to be a professional league with players at the pinnacle of the sport. All “learning” should be complete especially with basic skills like catching.

He defs got spooked after the first drop. But I'll give him benefit of the doubt with all things considered. How the hell can a kid who's making his debut after months without playing be expected to come in and look like a seasoned pro? On top of that he's joined a struggling team devoid of identity who's halves couldn't organize a round of beers at the pub...

Under normal circumstances he'd have played a couple CC games to get the feel again and the coaches could evaluate when the time is right for his top grade debut. But these aren't normal circumstances and that has to be factored in when making a judgement on his overall ability.

You practice ......You put bombs up for yourself and take them over and over again

You get a wooded area and put bombs into the trees so you get used to taking bombs in traffic

Trees don't give a crap if they get sent off
