Asu Kepaoa #236

Did not seem overawed and made a good clean break which must have at least inspired the rest of the team. Good one.

He looks a real prospect. Good on the wing, better imo for WTs at right centre.

I agree I think he is better suited to the centre position.

AJ had a decent game too bad most of the ball he recieved were cut out passes when he was on the sideline marked by 2 players with no where to run but back inside

Stood too tall coming out of our own line and got pushed back numerous times. Not sure about his high ball takes under pressure - surprisingly DCE didnt really test him. Also would have to prove his 1v1 D before I’d feel comfortable with him at centre

It's a learning process. Any young centre will struggle. I am really excited about Kepaoa. The Roosters had to release a really fine player to get SBW. Probably an indication of how highly Nick P rates SBW. Remember Manu had dodgy defence initially.

There was about 3 occasions on his wing where he held up his opposite winger in a one on one tackle and did brilliantly. I think he will be a very good centre. There was an instance in the beginning of the second half where he skipped outside his opposite centre in out own end and put on a fend. Typical centre play, Joey Manu always does it.

I was also surprised that dce didnt target him with bombs after the hard night he had on debut but I also noticed brooks went high towards him and AD instead of along the ground a couple of times

Showed great signs in his first game, written off ridiculously by lots after that.

Proved theres a lot of potential again tonight.

Madge mentioned pre-game having AD in the centres they had plans to use him with cross-field kicks.

Actually funny how the game was won just like that.

Looks a better prospect than Talau, hopefully it gives Tommy the kick to improve his game

Even when we were getting pumped I thought he looked good.

Still a lot to learn, but seems to have a bit of talent

He did alright, would like to see him in the centres but suspect he'll stay on the wing for a bit. It poses interesting selections heading into next season as I can't see Talau staying on the wing, Momo will be back and we have Hoffman and Cini still on the books who are also centres.
