Iam just as disappointed as everyone else that we didn't see the test last night, however, football aside why don't we all show a little compassion for our QLDer brothers and sisters that are suffering through this terrible force of nature..after all we a sports fanatics at times but we are also a generous people,a lot of NSW SES workers have gone to Qld to help distraught people…it is only a game and I would rather people be safe and with their families alive and well...we can always celebrate a win some other time...cheers people....

Agreed, ive got family throughout the state who have been hit by one natural disaster after another. Really offensive some of the posts here.

Opened this thread fully expecting the old interstate toing and froing that is so past its use by date it makes old moldy cheese look perfectly edible. Argue about something a bit more original fellas.

No ones arguing… Its all banter and fun.

No one takes this serious!

Enjoy your weekend

Anyone who takes offense at the banter here is very thin skinned imo.

Everyone realises the problems with flooding, lack of power, road closures, houses washed away and even some loss of life. We all appreciate the difficulties and the seriousness of the situation when these types of weather systems hit.

I am sure Queenslanders hearts went out to NSW residents last week when a similar thing happened. I presume anyway.

We are not talking about all that here. We are talking about a test match being postponed because of some rain - first time in history I believe. What a joke.

Have they never heard of snorkels?

I hope people are just taking the piss with some of these comments. Hard to tell tone on here.

It is hard to tell. Still its ridiculous and childish to turn it into a state thing, just immature and unnecessary even.

Will be good when the Round 9 kicks off and this forum reverts to some sort of normality.

Fade to Black just has an issue with Qld and everything involved in it

Its like with his Storm salary rorts arguments , he never focuses on the NSW, NZ or English players who play for the Storm

Only Qlders

And now he wants to remove major Rugby League games from arguably the best Rugby League viewing ground in the world

Some of last night was banter , some comments were just stupid and didn't take in the fact that people were killed yesterday

Absolutely TT! Having just gone through my own struggle with unusually wild weather, less than 2 weeks ago, I think some of the comments on here are highly ignorant and lacking in compassion. It's just a bloody football game, grow up - people are more important.

Honestly Happy you need to get a pair mate, have never heard someone being so sensitive when it comes to his/her State. It's pathetic to be honest with you. As far as me singling out QLDer's for abuse re the Melbourne Storm cheating disgrace: Smith, Inglis and Slater were publically named as being the 3 blokes that had been caught out for signing 2 contracts ( Cronk was commonly referred to as being the other player implicated in this but he was never actually named publically). THEY ARE ALL QUEENSLANDERS FELLA. Fact. So quit the sooking, your little darlings are not being picked on for no reason. As far as Suncorp goes, I never said anything about it, I simply stated that QLD is known as the Sunshine State yet nearly every single cricket Test played there loses overs ,if not days, to rain. Wake up and smell the coffee, your State is not Gods gift to Aussie sport.

Say some disgusting offensive things on a forum. Five people end up dying because of the bad weather and then comes back to argue his little point.

All class Fade to Black all class.

You've never brought up Bellamy ,Waldron, the recruitment bloke from the Roosters who was at the Storm at the time or anyone else in the Storm saga bar Qld players Shows what you know

I really don't care if you don't like us or not , but play the situation , not the state

And as TITG said show some class , people died in those Storms , have a look at the you tube footage of the Morayfield Shopping Centre to see how bad weather conditions actually were

I have made it clear ad infinitum that I despise Melbourne Storm club as a whole, that includes Bellamy,Waldron when he was there etc so it isn't like QLDers are singled out for special treatment. No-one is doubting that the weather was atrocious throughout Brisbane last friday night, the point was that the players were already at the ground ready to play so they should of played IMO. During the pre-game coverage it wasn't even raining for the most part. Kudo's to Tiger Watto (a fellow QLDER of yours) who seemed to understand the sentiment behind the banter and didn't feel the fear that QLD was being victimised.
