Aust v GB in final - a bit disappointed

how can some of you say this that we dont care up here, we love our rugby, 5 years ago at the giants our attendences were around 1-2000 and now we are averaging 8,000 that is a huge step in just a few years. The season tickets for last season were only £80 which is very very cheep indeed. A family ticket for the 4 nations are only £40 ( 2 adults and 2 children) the problem is the lack of advertisement and media coverage. i myself am a massive Giants and league fan who never miss's a single game home or away and attend all the games held over here. so for people to say we dont care is not fair on me and the other thousands of fans over here.

as for the game, we will win 15-14

Hmmm that's good news for Huddersfield. I remember reading with some sadness that the greatest game wasn't faring so well in its birthplace. Nice to hear there's been some growth.

It's garbage to suggest rugby league is a one country sport. It's insulting to the many people that volunteer in development of the game all over the world. Tell the young kids playing in Perpignan, or the trailblazers in Belgrade that they don't care about the game. Or even the 80 000 that watch the challenge cup final in England every year.

I find the ignorance, or perhaps the dismissal of rugby league's progress over the last 10 years extremely insulting. By way of example:

Great post mate.
I find it odd so called league fans on a league site rubbishing and denigrating the game they supposedly support.
ts our game, its unique.
Support it, dont downplay it.

As for the final, Aussies v Poms, the old enemy - it doesnt get any better than that

Those who poo poo the 4 nations need to think about the development of players like Robbie Farah who get to play in a team of stars against teams who better than NRL standards (Frogs??). Ask him when he gets back how much he has learned and if he thinks he will be an improved Tiger because of it. Ask Michael Jennings, Gareth Ellis, Sam Burgess, Benji Marshall, the Morris brothers etc etc etc etc

Think they said the crowd was 32 000\. But looked at capacity minus the first few rows which they don't use over there. Atmosphere was electric for about 60mins. Well done to England for hanging in there for 3/4s of the match.
Fantastic final showdown for the first 60 and great final 20 in watching the cheating pommies collapse and get destroyed.
What sort of idiot would rubbish this match before it has even kicked off..

I would have backed them to beat the 2009 Roosters. France are a great 1st half team, shame about the 2nd 40 minutes though. I actually think they went okay all things considered.

yes i am crying now. 😢

 You should be used to it now I wouldve thought! But then Im not used to the Aussies losing as regularly as the Poms so I wouldnt know

On another note, one thing I definitely am disappointed about is just ONE test match in Sydney next year, and thats a game against the Kumuls, whilst Im all for spreading the game, the NRL/ARL cant ditch its heartland at the same time, otherwise fed up fans just wont turn up when there are test matches here.

where is the England game being held? might be worth a nice trip over
we lose but atleast we are playing the young players now.

The England game will be in Melbourne and the final is almost certain to be in Brisbane.
Im pretty sure NZ will play all their matches in NZ.
Not so sure where the poms will play PNG though…. Imagine them 2 sides being the final  The poms cant even win on their own turf! How are they goin to cope in Australia! lol
