Ava punching Farah

I liked it too. That was a surprising grub act from Farah - i mean i've seen him belt a few blokes but only in retaliation. Poor Edwards did nothing but fall on a dropped ball and Farah decides to hit him in the head and then work his neck. It was good Ava fired up and showed some care and passion. The only thing he did wrong was mess up the punch.

Not funny to me.
Cost us points and momentum.
Idiotic move by Ava.

It would have been okay if he had really smashed him, but it was nothing more than a fairy tap.

I was actually happy that a team mate came to his defence. Sure it cost us but to be honest Farah should have got 10 as well for the elbow to throat of the player on the ground.

Good to see a departing player show some passion. Pity he's the only one.

 excellent.

Personally I'd be surprised if Ava couldn't do better than that if he really wanted to punch farah in the back of the head.
Only saw it the once, but it looked like farah (after yes - a clear elbow to Edwards which was far worse imo than Ava) was holding Ava's jersey and he was aggressively trying to break his grasp. Will have to watch it agai.
It's funny, but I had, and still do have no problem with what Ava did.

Exactly. Didn't see this before my post.

I have no issue someone standing up for another player but to throw a punch at the back of the head, at someone not facing you is just as coward act as that of Farah, only with larger ramifications. Ava was just stupid for doing it and at the end he lost and Farah won twice….

Just watched it again and I obviously had my tiger vision on because farah's hands were nowhere near Ava. Both hands were grounded so an illegal strike…
So not how I thought it was, but I just can't see Ava would have that intent (the 'coward punch').
Very disappointing and disgraceful if he did, but difficult to answer what actually was his intent given the vision.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt...

Farah started it...levity appropriate? Probably not...

A swinging arm from Farah, followed by a forearm to the head of a player on the ground … Ave retaliates with a love tap that wouldn't knock the head off a rice pudding and gets sin binned ... would have loved to have seen half a dozen players from both sides rush in throwing punches, what do they do then? Sin bin a dozen players out of the game. Ridiculous rule, fast going down the track of a game for princesses.
