The was a story tonight on Nine news by Danny Weidler on Sitaleki Akouola.
The video is also on Weidlers twitter account.
In the story Sitaleki tells of how he supported Robbie last week by catching public transport out to LO, how this time last year he went through the same thing Robbie is going through, and finally how he was contemplating suicide after being dropped by Taylor
Im glad everything now seems OK for him, depression and mental illness is no light thing…..but I cant help but feel, watching the video...he was possibly coerced into this. I feel he is being used. He was prodded by Weidler imo, he seemed reluctant...maybe Im reading it wrong. But the fact the interview was all about Robbie to begin with and finished with his lowest of days, it seems to me like the concern is in the wrong place.

I wonder why this story is only being put forth now?

The link with him supporting Robbie is somewhat relevant, but its very minor in the whole scheme of thing when he was in fact contemplating ending it all.

I may be cynical, and I expect to be called all sorts of things...but I believe Weidler is a director at Ultra Management (sports), along with Sam Ayoub, who happens to be Sitalekis manager, as well as Robbies.
You dont need to be too sharp to join the dots

Here we go again, of course it's a conspiracy, everything is, especially if we don't agree with what it says

I just watched the story and it was pretty ordinary. Still I don't see why it has to be a conspiracy with Robbie involved in any way in it. It's just poor journalism designed to cause problems by someone who lacks integrity.

Robbie should though distance himself from it. I saw that he has retweeted it. That just makes things worse.

He obviuosly endoses it if he retweeted it.

It's not a good look is it. Still I don't think that a lot of the stuff said about Robbie is true. I saw that Moltzen had tweeted to Robbie and he was supporting Benji's 250th game.

I don't see him as being the devil like a bunch of people make him out to be.

I do think that he isn't that bright or at least emotionally mature.

Good old Robbie. Get his mates to run his agenda for him and then he can profess his innocence "I haven't done anything". His typical play.

I can't believe how much this guy has gone down in my estimation.

That is disgraceful and pathetic in its transparency. I really hope Teddy gets himself away from Ayoub, he seems like such a decent guy and he doesn't need scum like Ayoub to get him extra coin, his talent speaks for itself. I also hope someone points out to Sitaleki that his agent has just used him as a pawn for the benefit of one of the cash cows on his books.

I don't know what their agenda is. This is just going to widen the rift. Maybe Ayoub just wants to force the club to make a payout of the contract so he gets a cut of that and then gets another cut of the new contract at a fresh club.

Why get away from Ayoub, he seems to be able to get great contracts for his players.
That's the bottom line, but we know best

No it's not the bottom line for everyone & you repeatedly saying it doesn't make it so. It's just money & if you live your life by it you're a fair chance of ending up a giant arsehole.

That sums it up for me. Not the devil, but needs to look at other perspectives.

He's a little boy emotionally. Lets not forget the way he ran to Twitter 3 or 4 yrs ago when Johns questioned him about his relationship with Benji. He doesn't know how to handle any of these things like a man, like the majority of others in his profession. Re-tweeting this story is just another act that will turn people off him. Because every time he pulls one of these stunts he loses a couple more supporters. Someone new invariably on here will say its the final straw for them each time one of these stories appear.

The media is Farah/Ayoubs only allies left… They know pulling on the purse strings of the fans who get excited about footballers being gods and place them on a pedestal will fall for it.

Expect more grubby stuff over the next week, but I'm sure the club knows what the outcome is going to be this time, which will most likely be play out in the next 7-14 days.

Pretty Sad that Angry Koala's story has been used in this manner. We know he was close mates with Mosese and I highly doubt he was essentially part of it being spun in this manner.

From my understanding, Teddy has the right people in his corner giving him the right advice. And that isnt Ayoub!

In other news, our other mate Phil Rothfield could be in some hot water from receiving pay offs from a gambler who has connections to drug dealers, murderers among others. There are text messages of his blackmailing people, telling them that Phil will put his name and face in the paper if he doesn't get what he wants. Can someone post the article please.

Sharks might win the comp and poor old Phil might not be able to watch it in a cell.

As someone who constantly battles with the effects of depression I am absolutely disgusted by that news article. Weidler should be ashmed of himself, using him like that. Does he think it's some big joke? Ask my wife and kids how funny it is. So pissed right now.

I agree. It's a bad situation now.

He doesn't think it's a joke. He thinks it's something to use to cause drama and sell papers/twitter views/whatever.

It's like he needs counselling from someone who is mature and can question him in a constructive fashion.

It's like he hasn't learnt that all he can control is himself.

David Lord didn't hold back against Robbie this week and neither did Tommy Raudonikis on the Footy show.

Journalism is always about providing different views -Weidler obviously is supportive of Farah for reasons you would have to ask him - Robbie might be his mate just like Mick Potter was Gordys mate.
I tend to be outraged by the ones I don't agree with and quote the ones I do!
Sita seems to be in a good place now and if Robbie is struggling at the moment it's hardly surprising that those that are close to him are going to speak up.
Listen to Tommys spray if you want some balance.

I didn't see Tommy's spray but he doesn't masquerade as a journalist, he's just a bloke giving his opinion. Journalism these days seems to be more about pushing different agendas than providing different views.

Tommy's a bit like former test fast bowler Jeff Thomson , when you want to create a train wreck of a situation , just ring them for a quote

I just hope Farah is ok.

I have said before I think he might be suffering a bit more then being let on.

I just hope he can find a new club and get away from this mess.

To use someone's illness as a way to sell papers and cause drama is treating it like a joke. The poor bloke clearly didn't want to comment on his problems like that on national tv and if he did and was blaming a singular person for it gives me questions on the whole validity anyway. Disgusting journalism.

I just saw this, and its a new low. Farah has just retweeted it so it means he is happy for the story to drag on as well and he clearly endorses it. Isnt he 'smarter than that'? You lie with dogs and you get fleas. Farah has just lost any support that i had for him. He is a disgrace. If you need help, get help? And let people help you. Dont turn it into a scam and a joke for your own personal gain.

Farah is a disgrace of a man, and this is as a direct result of his own actions - endorsing the story. You might be able to blame the coach for poor decisions at your expense, but you cant blame JT for this!

…and THIS is why I cannot cop farah any longer.
He endorses his manager stooping to these low levels, to use people...to use Robbies mate, who supported him - had to catch a freakin train...yet he cant or wont see hes being used by his manager.
He endorse this grub sinking the boot into our club, the club Robbie reckons he loves.
I used to love Robbie, he was one hell of a (C) for us, to see him scoring under the posts at LO one day pumped me up so much, to see him smash the absolute crap out of Watts made me wanna jump the fence and join in.
But he has turned on his club, hes either very very naive...or hes not as smart as he thinks he is.

Have a read of this thread Robbie, most of us are awake to you and your mob.
You had the chance to be a legend, you blew it big time

Its all over

Like many players who are seen as champions through the junior ranks they live a protected life style and are always being exulted

David Fordham (Wally Lewis manager ) commented on this numerous times

He also commented on the fact that Wally never started a conversation and was flying to Sydney with him one day

They had been together for 45 minutes and not a word had been spoken

He put this down to the way the top players are almost conditioned by the media , they are forever answering questions , whether it be in pre match interviews , post match interviews , contacted on the phone by journos etc

The aloofness that some saw as being big heads was more the players was more this conditioning

And Wally's wife said the same thing , he could sit for hours without speaking , and then she'd bring up the kids and he'd give the 3 births from go to whoa

I have noticed the same thing when meeting famous people in the past , if you don't speak to them they won't speak to you , but if you ask a question they will happily talk for hours about a subject

Tracey Wickham (former swimming champion) was the same , I meet her when she was promoting her swim schools through our business at the time and until I spoke to her she basically G'day

Not all are the same , Dawn Fraser was a guest speaker at a conference I was at and we had a golf day afterwards , I always wore my white Wests Tigers polo as it was cooler in the heat and she saw me and we chatted about all things WT's and then spoke further at the awards dinner that night

I think it's worse than a joke. He is belittling it. You are 100% correct as well. As if playing in the halves in reserve grade causes depression. It's a freaken mental illness.

It's just unbelievable that media organisations consider it ok to air this sort of blatantly divisive stuff. It's one thing for a reporter to go down this path, but a whole other thing for it be aired during the period of unrest. The only worse act I can think of is for Farah to promote it via his social media feed. What I find really unsurprising is the fact that he did in fact share it. Once again, his narcissistic self rises to the surface.
