Ayoub, Weidler, Farah & Akouola

Having Ayoub and Weidler in your corner is a PR disaster for Farah. Probably 80% of the NRL community actually felt Farah is hard done by, some strongly and others not so strongly. This quickly goes out the window when you see these to clowns making crazy media releases.

Farah will have trouble finding a new home as he is becoming untouchable when he gets is brand name linked to this sort of rubbish

There is no ethnics in journalism, just look at some of them.
Journalists years gone by used to report the news, nowadays they create the news.
They will do or say anything to get a story.

Agree with you on this coach. Farah has been hard done by however if he is as smart as he thinks he is he he would realise having the blokes in your corner might win you a media war, but you lose fans. Also like you said other clubs are just going to say too much baggage.

Like many players who are seen as champions through the junior ranks they live a protected life style and are always being exulted

David Fordham (Wally Lewis manager ) commented on this numerous times

He also commented on the fact that Wally never started a conversation and was flying to Sydney with him one day

They had been together for 45 minutes and not a word had been spoken

He put this down to the way the top players are almost conditioned by the media , they are forever answering questions , whether it be in pre match interviews , post match interviews , contacted on the phone by journos etc

The aloofness that some saw as being big heads was more the players was more this conditioning

And Wally's wife said the same thing , he could sit for hours without speaking , and then she'd bring up the kids and he'd give the 3 births from go to whoa

I have noticed the same thing when meeting famous people in the past , if you don't speak to them they won't speak to you , but if you ask a question they will happily talk for hours about a subject

Tracey Wickham (former swimming champion) was the same , I meet her when she was promoting her swim schools through our business at the time and until I spoke to her she basically G'day

Not all are the same , Dawn Fraser was a guest speaker at a conference I was at and we had a golf day afterwards , I always wore my white Wests Tigers polo as it was cooler in the heat and she saw me and we chatted about all things WT's and then spoke further at the awards dinner that night

Probably they were of having anything they say, appear in the media and be twisted around and used against against them, …........but I guess that would never happen.
Would it??

I just saw this, and its a new low. Farah has just retweeted it so it means he is happy for the story to drag on as well and he clearly endorses it. Isnt he 'smarter than that'? You lie with dogs and you get fleas. Farah has just lost any support that i had for him. He is a disgrace. If you need help, get help? And let people help you. Dont turn it into a scam and a joke for your own personal gain.

Farah is a disgrace of a man, and this is as a direct result of his own actions - endorsing the story. You might be able to blame the coach for poor decisions at your expense, but you cant blame JT for this!

…and THIS is why I cannot cop farah any longer.
He endorses his manager stooping to these low levels, to use people...to use Robbies mate, who supported him - had to catch a freakin train...yet he cant or wont see hes being used by his manager.
He endorse this grub sinking the boot into our club, the club Robbie reckons he loves.
I used to love Robbie, he was one hell of a (C) for us, to see him scoring under the posts at LO one day pumped me up so much, to see him smash the absolute crap out of Watts made me wanna jump the fence and join in.
But he has turned on his club, hes either very very naive...or hes not as smart as he thinks he is.

Have a read of this thread Robbie, most of us are awake to you and your mob.
You had the chance to be a legend, you blew it big time

Its all over

That's why it is time for him to find another club. He has a chance to salvage the last years of his career and get away from WT. Maybe over time will heal some wounds and we'll remember him for what he did on the field. I must admit I'm starting to see Benji for what he did for us, and not how he left despite being so pissed about it at the time.

The atmosphere is toxic. I don't think the club will truly be free of it until both Farah and JT are gone.

In the interests of fairness and balance, im waiting for some of those that have defended Farah at all costs on this forum to come and support him in regard to this thread. I am very interested in their take on it and how this is the coaches fault. Having lost my little brother to suicide and mental illness four years ago, i dont ever think this sort of stuff is a jovial matter or one that can be used as leverage.

Can you explain Robbies involvement and why he chose to endorse the story by retweeting. I might have overlooked something but am happy to be corrected.

So sorry to hear that Swordy, it stays with you forever hey?
I lost a mate over 30 years ago…the question marks that arise whenever he comes to mind are incessant

I'm wondering if people are missing the point of Akouola's support.
He stated that himself and a few of 'the other guys' had gone through what Farah is going through now.
I don't think he's talking about being dropped.

That's true happy - I had a similar meeting with Doug Walters - he sat down at the table I was at to have a beer - just me and him at the table. Didn't say a word for 5 mins - I finally asked him what he thought of the current Aust cricket team which were in their slump period. Couldn't shut him up - we chatted for about an hour on everything to do with cricket.

I'm happy to respond to your post Swordy.

1st and foremost i apologize to hear the sad news of you loosing your Brother to such a terrible illness and at times a silent killer , i've seen it 1st hand the consequences of this illness.

What a Circus this has become :unamused: .

I can't answer as to why Farah has endorsed the story by retweeting…..there is currently alot of bad blood between Jason Taylor and Robbie Farah , i think in Farah's part he probably wants to show everyone just how poor Jason Taylor is at Handling Players Welfare by him retweeting this story .

I've had and have Polynesian mates , they are very softly spoken and don't want to be seen as soft by not opening up there true emotions it is a sign of weakness to them and are embarrassed by it.

Well who really knows what occured? but don't think Jason Taylor can be blamed for something he claims he wasn't aware of with Sitaleki's depression.

I'm far from defending Farah at all cost , what i will say is that i don't believe the spin of him not being in the Top 17 .
If Farah can find another Club and suits all parties concerned ? Great we close the Chapter to this sorry saga .
I just don't think the Club has gone on the right way in finding a solution to this if anything it has probably made Farah more angrier and won't want to be seen as the loser in this sorry saga .
But he needs to move on now as this has gone on for to long and the decision has been made now , the Club has copped to much bad publicity to do a U turn on this now .

As for Taylor my mind hasn't changed of him being the person leading this Club in the right direction moving forward and i will be very happy when he is not here anymore.

We as fans are now divided .

Cheers Swordy

What they're trying to portray is that JT is such a b–tard that he's driving players to the point of suicide. I don't really know how much further these blokes will go.

This is not really something for the coach.More the support staff and structures within the club to help players in this siuations.

Although Taylor did bring ROD REDDY In for the players that were between State Cup and Firsts.

He was obviously useless.

Channel 9 at its best , disgraceful

Cam Smith / Alex MacKinnon story all over again

I'm over the moon that Fox get to televise the semis live as well

Take SOO off them and this little black duck will be in heaven

Then add the cricket as well ….......

I agree 1000000% on that. If the only option is to watch League on Ch 9 I refuse to watch it. They are beyond embarrassing.

I have thought for a while that Taylor was a dud coach. Too many mistakes and too much spin in my opinion prior to this latest episode with Robbie. I've basically though wanted him to come good and improve. I think he has done that somewhat however he has lost me now due to this latest blow up.

I'll be stoked when Taylor goes and I'd love to see Robbie receive a farewell that is aligned to his performance for our club.

i adored doug walters. he was a country bloke who could bat a bit.

but he wasnt a great speaker.his legend couldnt match his persona when people wanted him to entertain off the field.
as fro danny weidler, why do players talk to him.
wouldnt want to be with him in a liferaft.
hed shaft you.
