in the tele today it says ayshford is gone for 6 weeks :frowning:

also says fitzhenry will come into the side with lote to fullback
\
\
i guess it will be
1\. Lote
2\. Fitzhenry
3\. Ryan
4\. Lawrence
5\. Brown
\
\
that looks pretty weak :frowning:

bad luck for Blake. best of luck in recovery. am looking forward to seeing him back on the field.
would not be suprised to see Flannagan or Liam in the centres.
Beau fits in well at fullback.
will have to wait and see the team selected.

I worry about briging Fitzhenry in there just for the fact that he has had so little game time this season. We should look at someone else on the wing with Fitzhenry remaining as a backline replacement.

Why not:

1) Ryan
2) Lote
3) Brown or Daniella
4) Lawrence
5) Fitzy or Brown

17) Taumata

???

Fitzy will almost definately come into the start-on side. The least Sheens could do to compensate for such a terrible decision is to replace his bench spot with a performing forward.

1 - why would you try anyone else at 1 after Ryan has made >450 metres & been perfectly safe in his 2 games there.
2 - why would you put Fitzhenry anywhere near a starting jersey. Ever.

But, if Sheens' is going to go the idiot route lets at least do something looking to the future.
1 Moltzen (he's not a good fullback at all but sheens' seems to think he is so he'll probably go back here)
2 Lote
3 Ryan (stupid to move him from 1 but anyway. Sheens may leave Ryan at 1 & put Moltz here at 3)
4 Lawrence
5 Brown (he's done nothing wrong at all in his couple of games)
6 Benji
7 Lazarus - Give the kid a go!

Or just do the easy, logical, non-disruptive thing.
Flanagan as a direct swap for Ayshford and Moors, Dwyer (if he's fit) or someone similar on to the bench.

fulton could also be used out there in the same role

That's what i think makes the most sense…

If Ryan moves from fullback we should storm the concord oval office!!!! WTF!!!!

We have 1 injury. Why totally change the backline to cover 1 injury. Just stick the most suitable person we have left into the centre position. I dont care if its Daniela or some kid ive never heard of. Leave the rest and fill the spot.

1\. Ryan
2\. Lote
3\. ???
4\. Lawrence
5\. Brown

If this happens Sheens is dead set kidding himself.

Well yeah, it makes no logical sense to move a guy who is averaging over 200 metres in attack from fullback and shifting him into the centres. I'd rather see Brown move to the centres and Fitzy to wing in the worst case scenario.

It makes so much more sense to move either Flanagan or Fulton to centre, leave Ryan at fullback, leave Brown on the wing and leave Fitzy on the bench. That causes the least amount of disruption to the side. Moors or Schirnack could be added to the bench and used as a wide running backrower in this scenario.

Anyone on here with half a brain can see it… :brick:

I think we all agree on this. Why disrupt a winning side more than necesary.

If a centre is out, why not replace him with a centre and leave everything else as is?

Moving more than one position to fill another is ridiculous.

This would back up as a good reason as to the quiet noise coming out of the club surrounding the Ayshford injury. Let's face it, Lote moves to fullback and the media circus will follow. Announce it today or tomorrow, it's all good cause i'd imagine we'd be flying north todays anyways.

Lets wait until the lineup is confirmed before hanging anyone. I agree that it is stupid to shift the backline that much to cover one position.

I think its possibly more likely that a young guy will get a run. Sheens basically never publicises debutants. Ron heard Clarke will play and Ron is, as much as I hate to admit, usually pretty close to the money with inside info.

EDIT: Ron was wrong on KG it seems.
