what are the pre season reports on him? i would like to see him return to form of old he was looking really good for a while there. but I have read Thompson is in contention for the other centre spot?

He will need to recapture something, you couldn't even really call him the 2012 incumbent.

I still have a soft spot for him, he played terrific footy in 2011\. Would love to see him back to his old self.

Same goes for Lawrence too I guess both have been pretty average.

2013 will be much better for Blake.
geez I do hope he does not end up like Dean Collis.
when is he off contract?
if at end of 2013, watch him have a very good season.
I maybe very cynical.
but we see it each season, players who are nearing the end of their contract, step up a notch.

2015

But whats a contract these days?

I think on last years effort, it isn't fair to judge anyone!

Ayshford played average at best, but the halves combinations provided nothing all year. Lawrence was out, there were injuries a plenty with no go forward, we were constantly on the backfoot, there were rumblings constantly through the club. It just went on and on.

With stability and the uncertainty now gone, I expect you will see overall improvement in many players including Ayshford.

True, heaps of players will be wanting to wipe the slate clean and start again in 2013.

I am genuinely starting to get excited for this season!

I agree Swordy. He had a poor year, but so did most of the team. I expect the team as a whole to lift under new tutelage.
