Though there was obviously some premature excitement from when we signed James Roberts, I've honestly not been enthused about the prospect of our attack since **JAC, Teddy** and Simona were in the team. It's why I personally wouldn't mind us going for someone like Hammer in a trade with Luciano. (Like someone else said Nanai and Luki aren't signed with them, so why not offer them regardless).
No disrespect but until we can successfully promote from within - which may be one or two years away - the club should be steering away from Taane Milne, Mahe Fonua, Joey Leilua and Momirovski type signings until our spine is more settled, or at least playing decent footy together.

Hard to believe we had those 2 at the same time.

With Papenhuyzen waiting in the ranks as well

Good point 600k is risky with the amount of injury he has not much time on the footy field.

What would Lomax be worth in a squad. He walks into our side and is a quality player but I feel $600k over 3-4 years could hurt as in the long run

Personally, I loathe discussing sport player values because you cannot work out value in a vacuum. There are way too many variables involved to determine any one player's "value" per se.

Having said the above, I follow the player market and there are no centres worth their salt who would want less than $500k. A player like Lomax is certainly valued higher than average.
Let's face it, we are a tough sell, so at $600k, tbh I'd call that a bargain.
I don't see how this could pose much risk to any team's cap: it doesn't break the bank, especially for a club like ours with our apparent warchest.
If anything, a classy centre is worth *more* than that to us.
No brainer for me.

I would take Lomax in a heartbeat. If your $600k asking rate is accurate @tigerballs , I have to agree with @bigsiro in that it's a no brainer.
History shows how hard it is to develop a centre in Tigerland. Chris Lawrence and Simona being the last.

Scared we were going to lose him to Parra, at a time we were getting backlash for losing all our juniours.

Rushed decision made in fear.
Very regrettable however the upside is... Nofo COULD find form, some day.
