Ball handling

Our skills today were very unsatisfactory in this area. Far too many pushed and wayward passes. Far too many dropped balls. I hope they work on this in the next 5 days as gifting Manly easy pill will result in a hiding.

I know it was the first game and all but last night I went to the Raiders v Melbourne match and in a game where it rained heavily for the entire 80 the handling from both sides was incredible. I then travelled to Sydney for todays game and was astonished at the difference in skill level on a dry pitch.

Impatience had a lot to do with it as did sideways running from the play makers. This needs to be adressed ASAP as I hate losing to Manly…..

Were you at the ground????? It was hot and humid,both sides dropped a million balls. We also played one down for most of the game. It was a credit to both sides they were still on their feet at the end of the game. I was stuffed and all I did was drink a couple of beers!!!

Yeah as I said, I was at Canberra stadium last night in the pouring rain and saw a far higher level of ball skill then I saw today - at the ground on a dry pitch. It was humid but the ball control was totally unsatisfactory.

It was the first game of the Season, everyone is bound to be a little rusty.

It was very hot and humid there today…..sweaty hands.
