Week 1 - NSW Junior Representative Finals

Wests Magpies Matts team went down to Manly 54-4\. which eliminated them from the finals series. Good season for the junior Magpies and better days ahead in the future.

Wests Magpies SG Ball beat Parramatta 24-18 and now have a week off and move to week 3 of the finals series for the grand final qualifier. Keep up the great work Magpies … some great talents in this team who will definitely move into the Wests Tigers NYC team next season.

well done magpies good luck in two weeks.

Well done to Wests SG Ball side.If they win next start do they go straight into the GF.Hope so and good luck all the way to the finals.Bad luck to the Matts side good effort this season and better luck next.

Wests SG Ball play the winner of the Cronulla v Roosters semi in two weeks and YES if they win that they are in the Grand Final.

Wests haven't played these two teams this year. Cronulla finished 1st and Roosters 8th…...would prefer the Roosters to cause an upset just for this week.

But either way I think we can beat either one and make it to the Grand Final.

Thanks Blackandwhite. One more thing, should West SG Ball lose(and Pray we wont) do they get a second shot at the GF.

Roosters have in fact beaten Cronulla. Wests will now play the Roosters for a spot in the grand Final

If Wests beat the Roosters next week, who will Wests meet in the GF.Also in saying Wests haven't played Cronulla or the Roosters this year is this a two group competition….

Geez, wouldn't it make sense for them to play the next match before the Wests Tigers at Campbeeltown????

Sg Ball - Wests Magpies vs Roosters
U20s - Wests Tigers vs Roosters
NRL - Wests Tigers vs Roosters

There are 18 teams and they only play 9 rounds so of course they can't play everyone.
Melbourne will play Parramatta later on today the winner of that game plays Canterbury for a shot at the other spot in the Grand Final.

Wests have had a very hard draw and have done tremendously well..hopefully they can beat the Roosters next week and make it to our 1st SG Ball Grand Final since 2002.

The Wests Magpies SG Ball side in 2002 had some future stars in it:

Liam Fulton
Ben Roberts
Bryce Gibbs
Issaac DeGois
Dean Collis
Ryan Hoffman

It was the old President's Cup (under-21) competition and that was in 1992.

Of course 1992 is the year most of the kids in the current SG Ball team were born !

Good Luck to the Magpies. Game will be played at St Marys on Saturday. If you can get out to the game the team would appreciate all the support it can get. A lot of promising young players who will feature in the Wests Tigers NYC squad next season.

I hear Matt Groat could play some NYC this year when the Ball team is finished.
