Windsor Wolves Vs Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers
Windsor Sports Complex, Saturday, May 15
Kick-off: 6.00pm
Referee: Matt Hawkins

A slow start last weekend set the Wolves a task in the second half against the Vulcans, but a 38-6 second half score line in their favour meant they were able to post a relatively comfortable win in the end. The Tigers likewise required some second half magic against Western Suburbs and they too were good enough to pull it out of the fire despite trailing 24-12 with around 20 minutes to play. The halves combination of Blake Lazarus and Arrana Tamauta looks to have settled well while for the Wolves, they continue to field strong sides week after week due to the Panthers kind run with injuries to start the year. The Tigers sit top of the table thanks to the competitions best defence while the Wolves field arguably one of the most potent attacks. A clear autumn evening at out the Windsor Sporting Complex should make for a wonderful backdrop in what should be one of the games of the week.

this is going to be a very hard game to win, and then r
the following week against Canterbury will really show how Balmain is travelling

Lolly Legs coming over the net , Loyd & clear , but still Winsdor converts from the sideline , right on halftime.
Fletch will be blowing up on them , giving away that great lead in the last 8inutes if the half.
Hope they Can pit in their 2bd half great effort , as it sounds Wafe Graham I'd starting to take control , and leading Windsor around well without Trindell there

yeah he is he is our main danger and the ref standard in this game and nsw cup is woefull a lot of home town decisions

Ouch. That one got away from them given the handy lead they let slip early.

Snraled iut an 2 hours ago from a Charity Dinner…Miss Universe 2008 is here , anyway , just flicked on the Game on the net ...all over and one if my favourite song is playing ...The boys are back in town , and I got the feeling that the Tigers lost....bugger , must have been a great game to watch by the sound of things , and like our first grade , the end of both halves the Tigers seem to fall asleep ...oh well , another hard game next week against Canterbury.

Well done to rhe Balmian faithful , for making the trek to the edge of the earth to support the team ...great stuff

Still not happy after this one. Stayed away from the net so I would not spray colourful language everywhere.

Anyways a email was fired off to NSWRL complaining about a few issues this morning.

To summarise the Tigers came out of the blocks very well. It was on the back of two penalties for infringements in the ruck.

After the 3rd try a rather dubious penalty was given against David Fifita when the reff claimed that he didn't rise to his feet to play the ball when in fact he got to his feet, played the ball and was pushed back down. Windsor scored from this set.

There were many dubious penalties. 3 Tigers players on report Farlow may have a dangerous tackle case to answer.

Anyway I won't give a full breakdown as it just starts to annoy me again but to summarise the rest of the game the Tigers tried their best, made a few poor last tackle option in particular at the death going right when there was only a handful of Windsor defenders to the left.

Other than we were on the back of a 4-0 penalty count in the second half in fact our last penalty came prior to the 30th minute despite obvious infringements and head contact in tackles.

Also one of Windsors trys was scored when a player was running across field and half the lights on every tower in the ground switched off. It was a shock to the eyes from the sideline the level of light dropping like that let alone for players. The player in question dummied and stepped under the posts to beat a defender. Not exactly ideal.

Tigers played well for mine. A few errors and allowing the offload too often at stages but with correct refereeing they win that game comfortably
