BALMAIN Ryde v WESTERN SUBURBS MAGPIES..RD 2...

I've got no doubt the difference between the teams will be the halves. Balmain have the edge in this department and if the forwards can get over the top of the Magpies then I can see the Tigers running out the victors.

Wests will rely on there smaller players in Corby, Pritchard, Waters and Falcone to make metres from dummy half and around the rucks in order to open up room for the likes of Davis and possibly Akeripa and Dwyer.

Get out there if you can. Both teams deserve more than the support they currently receive.

Laz and Tomatoe look a cut above at this level…....should mean the difference, but the Maggies always seem to lift for this encounter.

Cant wait.......i will be there, have been practising my 'lollylegs",just in case the Maggies fluke a try.

Okay…staks ..you've convinced me!

Bwahahaha simon .....who needs to kick goals when you have try scoring freaks in Davis, Pritchard and Fafita A.....

Ummm…..BRET and Magpies pulled a crowd of 8972 between them last weekend.

SFS pulled a crap crowd of around 18,000 and 70% of those were Manly supporters. Which means there were only about 5400 WT supporters there last Monday night.

So by my calculations regarding crowds...

State Cup > NRL

If Brown plays I would run at him all day if the form from the Newtown game is any guide.

I hope Daniela improves his defence…

And every game at Henson Park has a crowd attendence of 8972

Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers Vs Western Suburbs Magpies
Leichhardt Oval, Saturday March 20
Kick-off: 3.00pm
Referee: Michael Laverty

This match will be keenly watched by Wests Tigers head coach Tim Sheens as both teams are part of his development system. The match will feature 2009 Toyota Cup powerhouses, David and Andrew Fafita, who will face off against each other in the front-row. David (Balmain Ryde-Eastwood) and Andrew (Western Suburbs) have shown promising early season form and look to be coping with the physicality of the NSW Cup well. The Tigers continue to impress off the back of their Grand Final appearance in 2009 with their mobile pack of forwards proving a real handful for sides at the back end of each half. The Tigers have also been lucky enough to secure a rejuvenated Arrana Tamauta whose combination with Blake Lazarus already seems telepathic. Western Suburbs coach Leo Epifania stressed last weekend’s win wasn’t pretty and the Magpies were far from where he wanted them to be but he was impressed with the grit and determination they showed nonetheless. Western Suburbs will be without the services of utility Nu Akeripa who is out with an ankle injury and is expected back in Round Four.

Wow….big blow for BRET with Brown being called up to FG according to the footy show... :unamused:

Congrats to Brown. No surprises he was getting the call up for not touching the ball last week. Thoroughly deserved.
I think Daniella will destroy us now. I'm very disappointed and already concede victory to the Magpies. 😢
