The second of three Wests Tigers/ARL Development School Blitzes was held across the Balmain region today.
Wests Tigers players visited 20 schools in the Balmain region as part of its annual School Blitz designed to encourage children to enjoy a healthy lifestyle and help promote the fun of playing junior rugby league.
The Balmain Blitz followed on from a very successful School Blitz in the Southern Highlands last Tuesday. The players will again back up next Monday, February 13, to conduct their final Schools Blitz in the Campbelltown/Liverpool regions.
Schools visited by Wests Tigers today were: Holy Spirit North Ryde; St Charles Ryde; Carlingford PS; West Ryde PS; Homebush Boys HS; Strathfield South High; St Vincents Ashfield; Croydon Park PS; St Patricks Summer Hill; St Michael’s Meadowbank; Father John Therry Balmain; St Fiacre, Leichhardt; Holy Innocence Croydon; Hunters Hill PS; OLQP Gladesville; St Anne’s Strathfield; Ashfield Boys High; Melrose PS; St Therese Denistone; Ryde PS.
The visit to the Campbelltown region co-incides with the opening of the new Wests Tigers Gearzone store at Macarthur Square and the Wests Tigers trial match against the Sydney Roosters at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday, February 18.
By the time the Campbelltown Blitz finishes, Wests Tigers would have spoken to approximately 25,000 children across the three regions. Each student who attended the Blitzes also received Wests Tigers Showbags.
