Balmain Tigers RLFC

Hey guys,

Does anybody know when the next information meeting is for the Balmain Tigers Rugby League Football Club to discuss the upcoming changes for 2013? I have been a voting member for 12 years and it seems as though they are deliberately trying to hide/avoid these types of meetings.

I am having great difficulties finiding out details of the next AGM, and never seem to be notified of them either, nor receive membership renewal notices.

If anybody here is also a voting member and wishes to run for the board let me know as I feel change is needed at all levels

Thanks

Every football club is different Galahs.

Balmain has always held their meetings at this time of year

I am happy for the officials I helped elect to make the decisions on my behalf.

That is just my feeling on the issue

I agree with Smeg and Yoss. The elected directors for Balmain have always been clear on their stance on the issue, and they've been elected to make decisions.

At least Balmains officials are elected by the footy club members.

You don't have useless directors like Mike Bailey and John Donnellan appointed

Could be worse… They could elect that Greame Szynal tosser!

Not enough Anti Wests Tigers Propaganda and Deep seeded Balmain Hatred to make that appointment TW…
Matts to the GF, SG Ball Premiers, 20's to the GF, Reserves to the GF....
Outside the 1sts, Doesn't seem like a bad year for the Tigers??

Thanks for all your responses everyone.

I am not sure why but I never seem to get mail-outs ontime (if at all). I have never received a renewal notice and have had to chase them up on numerous occasions for the keyring every year (despite me calling them with my address details repeatedly).

I must say I am not happy about not even having a discussion on a merged NSW Cup team. I am happy to have a merged team but I do not want to lose Balmain Tigers at a over 18 level unless the circumstances are explained in complete detail about Balmain's financial situation (Every year their seems to be another part of the Balmain/Wests identity which is diminished). Yes I am a proud supporter of Wests Tigers, but I do not see why we cannot have a seperate Balmain and Wests sides, if that means we are a feeder team to another team (i.e. Newtown, North Sydney) well its an option I would like presented to members.

Maybe I am the exception but in my personal experience it has been very disorganised.

I used to enjoy the information sessions listening/laughing to Tim Sheens 5 year plan (a new one every year).

Anyhoo this is just my opinion.

Thanks for reading

Dunno mate. They've always got my stuff out without any dramas. Not sure you'd get a lot of support for Balmain feeding into another NRL team - the Balmain board and (I'd suggest) the members are pretty solidly behind the WT. Anyway if it was just a matter of finances Ryde-Eastwood would continue doing what they're doing now. Moving to a single side is something WT want to do and a lot of people are broadly supportive of it. I'd like to see Balmain and Wests playing Bundy Cup (or whatever they call it these days) but to be honest I'm more interested in the junior rep teams they put out.

Seems Wests and Balmain members have something in common, we're all mushrooms.

We're kept in the dark by our boards and fed crap

What information have BTRLFC provided so far in relation to 2013?

In relation to what? I'm not sure I still have the material they've sent out. They send a newsletter periodically which normally contains a lot of info and sometimes a letter at other times if it is serious enough. I've never thought they've been trying to hide anything.

I receive all the information in relation to the Leagues club. I haven't seen anything relating to the football club as yet…. Not saying they are hiding anything. Just thought they would advise members in relation to the merged state cup, Humpty's white paper proposal, the running of the junior reps etc.

Are you a leagues club member or football club member? Or both?
There was something not long ago from the football club people but I can't recall what was in it.

EDIT - I now see that football club membership gets you leagues club membership - they used to be separate!!
