What about the Hopeton

Never liked that one, too upmarket for me. Forresters was another , got back to back royal flushes on the cardies one day.

Not sure when you were going, but the Hopetoun was a dive back in the days. It has been through a few unfortunate redevelopments since

@gallagher There is heaps of parking in the residential area East of the ground and there are no parking restrictions as I have already driven the area to check if we wanted to drive and a 5 minute walk or you can park if earlier enough in that horrible place Parra leagues which is multi storey . We will go by train as it is free and the walk is not bad.

A couple of pub stops on the way ala the walk from central to SFS. A lot closer walk though.

The best part of when Sydney FC would play at the SFS on a Saturday. The pilgrimage from Central station up Foveaux Street: The REH, the KB, the Excelsior, Cricketers Arms, and then divert to Cleveland Street to finish up at the Bat & Ball before heading to the game.

God yes. I loved going to the semis when they were all at the SFS. Did all those but the captain cook was our last stop.

Yeah it used to be the Cook as the home pub but they moved over to the Bat and Ball.

Maybe upmarket the wrong word. They had old couches and stuff instead of normal bar furniture and hipsters / douchebags everywhere. I only stopped there once though.

Disappointed in the week leading up to our first game, to see banners with images of parra players hanging from the street lights in the streets around the stadium.

I guess this is a local council thing.

I saw no promotion of WTs or our game on Friday driving past this arvo

will have to force them to make it ours, by becoming unbeated there

Interesting to hear how many players have complained about the awful playing surface at Bankwest. Doesn't suit anyone prone to slipping, so no wonder we got smashed there. Our boys find it hard to keep their feet at the best of times.

BankWest will be our fortress....out of the first 100 games we play there, we will win 97 of them...screw Parramatta

0 from 1 so far.

@innsaneink yep and the local over head traffic notice boards also have messages like “expect delays NRL on at Parra Stadium”

@BalmainJnr let’s hope the crowd tonight is that big at Parra stadium that road signs say expect delays ! can not wait to see Parra stadium decked out in ORANGE BLACK AND WHITE the future has arrived ..finally a modern state of the art stadium for the supporters of our club in the centre of our city .

@innsaneink

you can take the train if you don't mind the walk but here's some info from the Bankwest website.

There is no onsite parking for the general public at Bankwest Stadium.

There are number of paid parking stations close the Stadium for patrons wanting to park in the area including: Parra Leagues Club Car Park, Justice Precinct Car Park (Hunter Street), Eat Street Car Park (George Street), City Centre Car Park (George Street) and Riverbank Car Park (Phillip Street).

Our neighbors at the Parra Leagues Club have a multi-storey car park for members and guests. Please see below for specific details:

Members: It’s free for Members to park on event days, but only when accompanied by spending inside Parra Leagues. Alternatively, members have the option to pay $25 at the pay station or exit gate when exiting the car park for all-day parking.

Visitors: Visitors can pay $25 at the pay station or exit gate when exiting the car park for all-day parking. Alternatively, visitors can spend $25* in the Club and ask for your ticket to be validated at the time of purchase. (*Terms and conditions apply. Purchases exclude Keno and TAB)

I'm planning on driving and parking in the streets on the other side of Church St. Worked fine on Easter Monday...

Hope the boys have all packed the long tags tonight

I can't remember where this got mentioned but it is damn good idea ....with the grounds that are dew affected why not use the super soppers used for cricket ....
