BBL 2022-23 Fantasy Comp

Champion @happy_tiger

That's the fun unknown - teams can change depending on availability, injuries, etc - I recommend just casually checking the team news the day or so before each new round starts, to gauge who's in/out.
Remember all team selections (in your team in the fantasy comp) need to be done before each new round, including your selection of your team captain who get double points. There's usually 3 transfers available each round, so look out especially for teams that have a double game in the round, and be wary of teams that have a bye - their players will not get any points if they are not playing.

Here's also a sort-of guide to get you into the game:

Also:

The 2022-23 Big Bash League will start with the match between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. This tournament has faced some player availability issues this season due to the emergence of other T20 Leagues. Although, BBL is one of the most popular T20 leagues around the world.

The players like Faf du Plessis, Andre Russell, Colin Munro, Alex Hales, etc are part of the tournament this year, but they won’t play the full tournament as they will participating in either of ILT20 League in UAE or the SA20 League in South Africa starting January.

Perth Scorchers won the tournament last season, and they will yet again be looking to do the same, but they will miss the services of Mitch Marsh, Phil Salt and Laurie Evans this season. Salt and Marsh are out due to injuries, whereas Evans failed the doping test.

KFC BBL supercoach

KFC BBL Supercoach is a fantasy game for users in Australia, and it is absolutely free to play. In the BBL Supercoach, a team has to be made of 16 players (7 batters, 7 bowlers and 2 wicket-keepers). Out of 16, 11 players will be a part of the starting 11, and the rest of the players will be on the bench.

The 16 players have to be picked within a limited budget of $2 million. There are different rounds, and the players will get points based on their performance in the real match. There is one point for every run, 20 points for wickets and 10 points for catches. Apart from these points, there are bonus points for high strike-rate, low economy rates, etc.

Like any other fantasy game, the captain’s points will be doubled, and there will be 3 free trades allowed ahead of every round. The winner of each round will win $500, whereas the overall winner at the end of the tournament will win the grand prize of $25,000.

How do I see what players are going to get selected for each game ??
Each team releases a 13 man squad 24hrs before and gets cut to 11 at the toss half hour before game.
Don't know if there one single place to find the info but can be found on each team's Twitter at the time

Buts it is definitely not on the SC site ??

Had no idea that Maxwell wasn't playing ...knew Marcus Stinkitupis was out with Covid and got out to the lamest effort I've ever seen ..then couldn't be bothered fielding ....

This isnt quite accurate. You can still trade/change your line up and captain once the round starts, provided none of the players you are changing have started their game. E.g. Currently you could not make any changes to your team that involves Stars or Thunder players but you could still trade a Heat player to Scorchers player or choose to captain a Stiker instead of a Hurricane.
I also suggest getting familiar with 'looping' scores. This will essentially give you two chances at nailing a good captain score. For example, some may have been tempted to captain Stoinis last night. But you could pick him as a VC and if he had of scored well you could have captained a Scorcher who has a bye so you would get your VC points doubled since you C did not play. Since he did not perform you then have the option of captaining a Striker instead.
You can also 'loop' in scores from your 'emergency' players. If your emergency Bowler puts up a big score, select a bye player as a starting bowler and you will get your emergency Bowler's score in his place. You can do this for each position but not across positions.

nk they get green ticks or something against their name if they are selected half hour before the game. I dont know if there is any indication for players not selected other than the blue circle for bye players.

Thanks champion @gregjm87 - you explained it far better than me.

Competition looks a lot more even this year with all the player movements. Remember spinners are winners if your looking for help, but be careful when they have to play in Perth.

Thanks Greg

I screwed myself over ..was trying to make some swaps late before the 2nd game and it froze me out with a few minutes to go and got stuck with a player I definitely wasn't going to be a starter lol ....2nd ball duck ...ouch lol

Never see a team implode batting like that since I led the way getting a pair of golden ducks off consecutive balls in a match.

The Thunder remind me of WT's how they all had a big smile on their faces and a good giggle with the opposition while they were being brutally sodomised. We should swap our defensive coach for their batting coach.
