Beau at fullback

Thoughts?

I think he went really well. Kick returns were strong and his support and combination with Benji's kicks were awesome. Put lots of pressure on Barba.

They look a lot more fluent together than with Moltzen at the back. I guess their off field relationship must have a lot to do with it.

I'd keep him there next week but with Lote gone I reckon he'll be back to the wing

Ryan goes well at fullback but personally I think that Moltzen offers more in attack.

As soon as Moltzen is fit Sheens will put him straight back in and with Lote out Ryan will be on the wing.

He is solid. If we had a half or five eight who could kick he would be better as he really chases well and reads the game well.

He runs the ball back better and takes the bombs better than Moltzen. The only thing Moltzen has about him is that slight playmaking ability we see sometimes.

Beau fills in great at fb but plays his best on the wing, his carries from dummy half really get us going forward and his finishing has been outstanding. People probably won't agree but Moltzen is the key to our attack, he's the only player with any spark, when he gets the ball i always feel as if something is going to happen, he's exciting he's quick he can beat players at will this kid has it all ahead of him if he can stay on the field. Our attack just looks more potent with him involved. Watch how better we look next week and tell me i'm wrong.

Moltzen is also a better support player, and the attack looks sharper when he is around. What it comes down to, I think, is that as much as Beau is a good fullback, he is a far better winger, and his talent is wasted at fullback, in my opinion

Yep - he is our best attacking player at the moment and has to be in the spine somewhere. Ryan plays great but the difference between him playing at 1 and Moltzen being there is pretty clear cut.

Ryan is a gun but he doesn't have the flair that Moltzen has.

beau may be good at high balls.. but his defense on the line is terible for a fullback.. never gets under the ball to stop the opposition from scoring and is always too slow to get to the try scorer.. i prefer moltzen, he has improved heaps under the high ball.

Spot on, Stripes. Beau is the kind of guy who will play solidly anywhere you put him, but in reality, he is not a specialist fullback. Whilst he will never let you down playing fullback, he doesn't really know when to chime into the backline and support the ball runners at speed like Moltzen does. Mind you, the more he plays there the more he will learn, so he could end up with these skills in the future anyway, but at this stage, he has been far more effective for the team on the wing, as you said.

100% Agree but I think as Beau matures in the FB position Moltzen is able to shift into the halves especially with guys like Koro coming through the ranks. Sirro is still learning - doesnt have a solid kicking game yet
