Its a bit clearer now on why Des. & Wayne didn't want him,it was a stretch to think his only problems at the Dogs were his gambling & questionable/dodgy Friends.

I wonder if this isn't good timing for Sharks, I know Barba had a fairly good year but the several before that were ordinary. If he's got 1 year to go and Sharks aren't sure if he can keep good form year-on-year, better to take this as an opportunity to cut ties.

If Valentine Holmes isn't their long-term fullback consideration then I'm not here. Like Geo said, if Sharks were to sign a FB of the calibre of Tedesco, then Holmes goes to another club 100%

Also takes a lot of pressure off their cap - they will be able to keep who they want and still make a play at a few off contract players.

It seems to me that some players get lucky when it comes to recreational drugs and others don't. Not for one minute do I think it is okay, but there seems to be a few players who escaped any punishment who were known to be using the stuff and others seem to be the escape goat.

Okay Ben Barba is not be the sharpest tool in the shed but outside football I do not think he has much to fall back on, so after a 12 month ban I hope he can pick up the pieces

You gotta worry about the bloke when he retires. Ben Cousins is still fighting his demons.

Having just won the comp and Ben Barba being an opportunistic pick up at the time, I'd be surprised if Barba's wages do much else other than garnish the existing team? Sure Ennis is gone but that money needs to be reserved for a replacement hooker. Guys like Jack Bird and Holmes are certainly soon due for a serious contract upgrade.

You should really be worried about the Sharks when Gallen, Lewis and Heighington retire, the best part of their backrow off bar Graham. If Fifita goes right off the rails, which is always a possibility, then Sharkies would have a bucket of money to spend in the forwards.

No time for junky pieces of garbage. I couldn't care less if he doesn't play again. There are 100 kids ready to take his place.

Get smashed on the piss on Mad Monday. Sweet as. Have a line of coke and you're a junkie? Yeah makes sense. Who gives a shit what they do on Mad Monday. I'd hate to see him leave the NRL he had a great year. Not to mention the fact that the Tiger Sharks might now be throwing a lot of money at Tedesco.

Not sure if Barba would of been on huge money, the Sharks picked him up after he was let go by Broncos didn't they?

Find it hard to take Barba's supposed concern for hurting his family seriously TBH. He bashed his missus on a few occasions in years gone by. Didn't she put photo's up on social media a few years ago of her battered face from the hands of Barba?

Just a real shame that maggots like Barba get to enjoy a long and successful career in RL, whereas fine young blokes like Tuiaki, Dwyer and MacKinnon get their career cut tragically short through injury.

Couldn't care less about Barba and what he does with himself post-football, he is trash.

Sorry i dont share the same harmless view.

And the sharks throwing money at Tedesco has me no more scared than the other 14 teams throwing money at him.

Where did I say cocaine was good? That really has nothing to do with it. It is his body he can ingest whatever he wants. Now I am waiting for you to tell me how good alcohol is for you. Because it's legal it's a harmless drug :roll

He can ingest what he wants but not if he wants to play NRL.

Bang on gallagher.

There is no such things as role models these Days in the NRL . Then they want us to have a soft spot cause they visit Hospitals and think everything's O.K with such actions :unamused: give me a break .

What some on here would do to have such a privileged Career , NRL need to get real with offenders that don't learn from past mistakes.

The NRL needs to make it clear that no player is above the game. It will outlive us all, so it won't fall apart if one player gets blacklisted. It will only happen once and no player will ever go near a white line ever again.
