Ben Elias on The Game Plan

Will be keen to watch this. Would have loved to have seen the look on Blockers face when Elias questioned his loyalty to the Tigers.

I can't imagine any other past Wests or Balmain player not talking up one of our current players if they're deserving of it. Blocker broke ranks and he's a pig for it. Should be banned from any Tigers or Magpies institution for life.

Watched it, it was interesting. I'm not sure if I could watch it every week though, too many ugly people on telly at the same time

Benny sure won the argument, but we all knew that.

I just hope Robbie doesn't get down if (when?) they don't pick him, NSW's results will speak for themselves

As Elias said they should look at all the stats and then make a decision

IF they do that Robbie will be first hooker picked for Game 1

But then again logic gets thrown out the window at selection meetings for the NSW SOO team

Maybe they should throw out all the mind altering drugs and the alcohol as well

Or maybe medication should be handed out to all the NSW supporters after Hughie ,Dewey and Loiue screw up yet again

What Blocker and his worthless mates fail to realise is that the best thing Robbie offers to that team is taking pressure off Pearce and letting him play his game knowing he has real backup options in Farah and Carney. City v Country was the most comfortable I have seen Pearce on the field since the year they made the Grand Final.

Blocker looked so flustered I was waiting for him to try and throw to a 2GB parody somg…...idiot

Blocker is sprouting what Stuart tells him,but Benny nearly made Blocker cry,I just wish Benny had the nuts to admit there is a conspiracy against Farah at origin level when they asked the question.Because no doubt there is,they were going to pick a 34 year old who hasn't played NRL for 3 years, has bugger all try assists, line breaks and line break assists, and now they want Ennis who is getting hooked at club level,or Hinchcliffe who plays backrow every week, they are kidding,Farah makes more tackles than all 3 of the others mentioned..

This all just gets me so frustrated. They've gone ahead and created an origin myth themselves. Was Slater made for origin? No, he's just a damned good footballer. Same could be said about Thurston not necessarily born for Origin but just a fine footballer. We're starting to beat ourselves in trying to figure out how to beat Queensland and its just rubbish. Pick the best side you can. Not old mate cos he has a chromosone that permits him to play origin, not player x cos he had a beer with one of the trainers at a race day and seemed like a good guy. Pick the best damned team you can, not a political team, not cos you like someone better than the other. I'm sick of getting beat and I'm sick of the shithouse sides they keep putting on the paddock.

Just watched the replay. I think from the start blocker just wanted to back pedal with things like, I said his game didn't suit origin, He plays like you Benny. You had to change your game didn't you…... I didn't say he wasn't capable of changing his either!
After time though Benny made him stick to what he originally said so he had to reiterate his thoughts with the "catching" tackle technique.
I must say I also loved the Ricky loves Farah comment.

wasnt joey picked at hooker for NSW when he was playing? what was wrong with having an attacking half at hooker back then and not now…

I agree with most of the comments, by any rational analysis Robbie is the first choice for NSW # 9.
Also, I do not think any of the other Tigers immortals eg. Benny, Siro or Junior would make such a comment.

No doubt. I wish somebody would just come out and say it.

There should be no doubt about Robbie being the best eligible hooker for NSW.

He should have been picked off the bench in 2007 as a replacement for Buderus at the back end of each half. Two years under Buderus, then in 09 he would have two years of Origin experience under his belt and ready to take on the role himself.

But thoughtful, succession planning and logic has never been a strong point of the maggots that run the joint, they would rather pick players who will piss it up and tell the FOGS like Blocker how good they were back in the 80s.

It is obviously that Farah isn't picked because he doesn't fit the culture. It is nothing to do with his defense, or his game. Stewart stated last year after CvC that he gave Farah a specific role to play and he played it to a tee. The argument that his game doesn't suit Origin is rubbish. It's not as it is a different sport FFS. You pick the best players, simple as that.

Everything you need to know about NSW Origin is in the fact Mason has been told he is being looked at for Game 2 if he plays ok off the bench for the Knights

I nearlt fell off my chair when I heard that as well, how desperate is NSW getting, it's embarassing, I don't know whether it's the Commission's role but if they could I wish they'd come in and clean out the galoots running NSW SOO, the coach, the selectors the hangers on and big eaters etc etc etc.

LOL Mason is probably ahead of Woods in the pecking order given a couple decent games. Dead-set there should be an investigation into wether or not there are deals being done under the table for NSW to throw the series yr after yr. What other logical reason is there for them to be so totaly incompetent with team selections yr after yr

Blocker would starve to death.

Don't forget to pick up Ricky's bags at the airport Blocker …talk about on the Gravy Train, you wouldn't want to be in the trenches withthis turn coat!
