Do we though? That’s not what I was being told last off season when i was being labeled a pessimist any time I said anything. And this is the fun thing about this forum. By November, the MIB memory eraser will have been used. Everyone will have forgotten how many times we conceded 50 plus, and it will all be about how good we will be because of Luai.

Ask yourself this… why couldn’t Ivan Cleary who has now made 4 grand finals in a row, won 3 comps in a row & looks set to make it 5 grand final appearances in a row not take this club to the top 8? Why couldn’t Madge someone who was known for turning clubs around & building tough resilient footy sides take this team to the finals? Cleary nearly made the 8 and so did Madge … both with luke brooks in the team.

We actually look good when we kick to the corners, and defend hard.

My point is - benji - play what see, let’s have fun, and football is not your priority mentality is what has made us come last.

Benji is not a coach bc he doesn’t want to be a coach! A coach is someone who if he gets sacked keeps coaching. This is not a profession or career for Benji it’s a passion which gives him purpose.

Correct, purely based on the evidence we've seen.

And anyone who thinks he's the answer can't actually tell you what he's shown in his year and a half of coaching that makes them believe that.

You should be in awe of their stature when you're near them, but the current roster hardly have any. Just compare them to Heighno when he stands next to them and he's listed as 187cm.

Whose fault is that?
We’ve recruited and provided pathways for these guys for many years.
 
Benji is not getting a free hit now let alone next year. He is already under scrutiny. The media and social media put pressure on all clubs to act on the back of poor results and we know how it goes regardless of roster, experience, and lack of experience.

It took the Dogs 3 or 4 years of quality signings to get them off the bottom of the ladder. And they have the advantage of having an actual coach.

Yeah good point. When he inevitably gets the punt, what’s the bet he is finished as a coach forever?

He’ll go back to media.

Really he should be just paid to be a development coach for like the 16 yr olds. And also a recruitment manager for the club bc he’s good at selling the club.

Imagin Wayne coaching and Benji doing the recruiting for him underneath. I think we’d get any player we wanted

I feel the same.
He could have been mistaken last night as a commentator when they crossed to him on Fox post game alongside Cooper and Matt Russell.
